Truths Hide In Shadows

Chapter 29

Xcellence stayed silent, allowing the information to sink in. He didn't know what to think... Nor did he know what to believe in at the moment!

"What about us? You said that the Beasts would try and kill people like us..."

Halluciv looked off to the side, nodding slowly.

"Yes..." Hall paused, trying to think up the best way to explain it all to the newbie. "After a short while of the item having been formed, beings like us started popping up. We are split into two groups, the Solars and Lunars. You can tell which one they are when their eyes glow..." He took a deep breath. "We are at our altament when there's an elispse... Lunar for me and Solar for you... We are also stronger than normal soldiers... And with our eyes, we can clearly see through the dark night or into alleys to find the Beasts... They hate that about us..."

The monochrome male stayed silent for a short while more.

"So, that's why they would want to kill people like us... Because we're more dangerous than the normal people?"

Hall nodded dully.

"But... Who's in charge of us? Like, who makes the orders and sends out missions?"

The indigo eyed male lightly chuckled, it was a bit strained, but it did help relax some tension in the air.

"There's four bosses, one for every time. I can't give out their real names as it's consider rude to do so, but I can tell you their time ranks." X nodded. "For Dawn, that'd be Enrce, she being the youngest amongest them, but the smartest. For Day, there's Dream, a Great One. He's dangerous as he and his brother can get into someone's head as they dream... A very rare ability it seems. Then there's Dusk, Fallacy. He's the crazy one, but the one that also likes to fiddle with locations... He's also Enrce's husband."

The hoodie wearing male looked at the other, making sure that they were following along, since talking about the leaders could get confusing.

It seemed to be going smoothly... So far...

"And then there's the Night time... Which is governed by Nightmare, who's my boss... He is the more... Brutish one of the four, almost ready to rip anyone and thing apart... He can be quiet intidating..."

The white wearing monster nodded slowly, trying to wrap his head around it all.

"Okay, just so I know I get it," The taller paused for a second, trying to make sure his thoughts were collected. "Encre is the guy-girl, that's in charge of the Dawn, and despite being younger than the others, she's the smart/planing one. Her husband is named Fallacy and works during the Dusk time period, he's also the crazy one that trys to clear out entire locations for the Organization I presume." He took a small breath before continuing. "Then there's a Great One whose name is Dream and he works during the day, being probably the innocent one who simply goes into people's minds to get what he needs and leaves. Then there's his brother, who's strongest during the night and called Nightmare. He's the most problematic one I guess, but also your boss." 

A giggling smile formed on the smaller's lips at the end, a very innocent and childish giggle escaping him as he nodded.

"Yes, yes, you got the basics down. And Nighty is coming down to make sure that you and I are okay as well as valuate Horror."

This got a raised eyebrow.

"Why you and Horror?"

Hall's smile shrunk some before falling completely.

"Well... He's coming down mainly for Horror... Since he's originally from the Shadow's side... And me..." A hand started to mindlessly mess with the smaller's hair. "Well... He wants to make sure I'm taking my meds... Since I have the tendency of not doing that..."

At the last sentence, Xcellence glared at the other.

"Should I monitor if you've taken your medication?" Black hair flew in a no formation, to which the bigger of the two narrowed his eyes more. "Then take your damn meds." A nod was the answer. X sighed softly before reaching over and placing his lips on the smaller's forehead. "Good."
