Chapter 43

Maddie P.O.V

I get ready in my tent and I/bfn tells me ill have to wait before I'm able to brush my teeth and I ask why.

"Well Y/N is currently umm, fighting a wolf by the river." She says and I just stare at her dumbfounded.

"Am I still dreaming?" I ask myself and pinch my arm.

"Ow, nope not a dream." I say rubbing my arm as the area stings for a bit.

"Yeah, we can just stay here but I don't know what Anti is doing." I/bfn says to me. Then she turns to look out the tent door, I could hear her breath hitch.

Y/N P.O.V

I was thrown backward, I ended up hitting a tree my vision blurred I looked to the side to see the tent. I look back forward to see the wolf slowly walk towards me, my vision cleared and I waited looking at him closely. Then when he was a good 6 feet away his eye narrow, "There." I think then I roll over just in time for him to crash into the tree, the once cheering crowd of wolves die down as he shakes his head and locks his eyes on me. The only reason I let him throw me was so I could try to figure out his tell.

"You're lucky little wolf, but not lucky enough." He says, after a moment his eyes narrow again, I throw a gust of wind throwing him back into a tree. I roll onto my front paws and jump up spreading my wings and flying so fast at him everything around me was a blur.

I stop with my jaws around his neck and my claws digging into his side holding him in place. I was hovering a good 4 feet off the ground with the wolf stuck against the tree.

"Do you yield?" I ask him staring at him in the eyes with my usual scary stone cold look.

"Yes." He practically yells I could hear his voice shake as he was scared. I let him go.

"Can you walk fine?" I ask putting my wings away as I land.

"I think I can manage." His gravely voice says. We walk back, I glance back at him once to see him limping slightly.

"You can tell who won this, now you can leave." I say to Kyle, I could tell that he was not expecting me to win. I just walk away, I dont need to stand around just for him to stutter when he starts to talk.

I/bfn P.O.V

"How could you be so cruel to nature?" I ask her when Y/n comes back. "Nature is cruel to me, im just returning her kindness."

She says sarcasm lacing her voice. I huff turning away to finish packing up my stuff,

"Great!" I groan as I lift up my bag as I see a hole and the stuff that I previously had packed into the bag.

"Here, I think this bag suits you better." Y/n says as she hands me a purple bag with blue and black flowers.

"Thanks!" I say I really did love the bag, I smile at her and she returns the gesture and I go back to packing my small amount of stuff.
