I kept thinking about last night and why it was such an awful idea. What possessed me to do that? Austin has a girlfriend and it's not okay, no matter how much I can't stand her.

I had asked Randy and Parker to do brunch with me today at this rooftop restaurant downtown. I felt like we hadn't been spending much time with just us. That and I knew I'd be sad all day. So I dragged them out of bed before noon.

"Parker, can you order me a mimosa?" Randy asked him as we sat at the table, looking at the menu.

"Sure," he agreed, placing his menu down and then looking at me. "So what's up with you? Why did you invite us today?"

"I can't treat my friends to brunch?" I questioned and the glared at me. "Ugh. Fine."

"What is it?" Randy asked.

"So you guys will love me no matter what, right?" I asked them. "No matter how bad I may have fucked up my life?"

"Olivia," Parker let out a deep sigh as he closed his eyes. "What did you do?"

"I-uh, I might have had sex with Austin last night," I admitted, wincing as I awaited their angry responses.

"Olivia!" They both yelled at me, Randy slamming her hands down on the table which caused the silverware to rattle.

"What the hell? How the fuck did that happen?!" Randy asked, shocked. I couldn't blame her.

"I went to confront him about Lily coming to the house and it just, you know," I made hand gestures.

"Oh it just what? Slipped in?" Randy threw her hands up and I shrugged.

"Wait, Lily came to the house?" Parker asked. "When?"

"Friday night," I told him. "I think you were downstairs playing video games."

"You didn't think to tell me?" He asked and I just stared at him. "Whatever, that's besides the point. Why did you do it?"

"I don't know," I sighed. "I'm so disappointed in myself."

"Don't be," Randy finally spoke up. "I have kicked Taylor out and then followed him outside just to end up having sex in his truck."

"That's different," I told her. "You weren't broken up and he didn't have another girl."

"It doesn't matter," she shook her head. "You two obviously still love each other."

"So he broke up with Lily?" Parker asked and I shook my head. "You know this is just going to hurt you. I don't get why you do shit like this to yourself."

"I don't know Parker. Because I love him," I threw my hands up. "I love him and I'll hurt myself as many times as it takes for him to feel even a little happy."

"Olivia, that's not love."

For once, Quinten and I were hanging out at his apartment. It was nice considering the fact that we usually had a full house when we hung out at mine.

"I've been feeling rough lately, Q," I said to him as I sat on his bedroom floor. He laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I know you have," He replied and I stayed silent. "But you're surrounded by people that enjoy your company."

"Do you enjoy my company?" I questioned.

"More than anyone's," he said and I chuckled.

I looked around the room until a guitar in the corner caught my eye. I smiled and got up, walking over to the guitar. I picked it up by its neck and walked over to the bed. Quinten sat up as I sat next to him.

"Play me something," I said, handing him the instrument. He smiled as he took it, removing the pick from behind the strings and tuning it to his liking.

"You lift my heart up when the rest of me is down. You, you enchant me even when you're not around," he sang as he strummed the guitar. I smiled as he continued to do so. "If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down. I'm latching on, babe, now I know what I have found."

I watched him as played the instrument so eloquently. He was really good at it considering he was a drummer. And he can sing? I couldn't believe how talented he was.

I swayed to the song for a few more minutes, taking in every sound he made. It was quite euphoric.

"Now I've got you in my space, I won't let go of you. Got you shackled in my embrace, I'm latching on to you," He sang softly, looking into my eyes. "I'm latching on to you."

And that's when I realized the lyrics of the song. My heart sank. Could he feel that way about me? Or is that just the song he chose to sing? It didn't matter because maybe I feel that way about him.

"That was," I nodded. "Amazing."

"Thank you," he smiled, sitting the guitar down by the bed. I looked at him for a second, trying to find a clue. He stared back at me, our faces too close to each other. "You're beautiful."

I didn't say anything but I leaned in closer to him, searching his eyes for a response. He leaned in too, our lips barely touching. You couldn't even call it a kiss.

But I finally did kiss him.

His lips immediately moved in sync with mine, causing a feeling to erupt in my stomach. He pushed my hair behind my ear and continued kissing me, pulling me closer to him.

I pulled away and looked at him, worried that I had just lost a friend because of my feelings.

"I had sex with Austin last night," I blurted out and he pulled away from me.

"O-Oh," He stuttered. "Uh, okay. I'm sorry."

"No, Quinten," I shook my head. "I have felt so guilty about it and why would I? I love Austin and I hate Lily."

"I'd rather not talk about this because you obviously know how I feel about you," he said, putting his head down.

"That's the thing, though," I sighed. "I feel guilty about it because I'm realizing how I feel about you."
