a change of heart // the 1975

Austin and I waited in the lobby for Lily. I wasn't too sure what he was going to do but I was livid. Fuck with me all you want, but don't fuck with Austin. I wasn't sure how I'd react when I saw her but I knew it couldn't be good.

Soon, Kyle was walking through the front door with her. She seemed to know why she was being brought here considering the smirk plastered onto her face and that pissed me off beyond words.

"Hey, guys," She said cheerfully as she approached us. "Something wrong?"

"I just want to know why," Austin looked at her. "Why would you do something so cruel?"

"I loved you, Austin," She looked at him. "You were my entire world. I was there for you when you were at your lowest. And I get repaid by you going back to the girl that fucked you over more times than either of us can count."

"You don't know anything about our relationship," He said to her. "So stop fucking acting like you do."

"The thing is, I didn't care about your relationship with her," She told him. "I cared about ours. But that wasn't good enough for you."

"Lily, just fucking put it out there that you only wanted what you could get out of me," He huffed. "You did not care about me, just like I didn't care about you."

"Just because I asked to perform? That's not using you, you fucking dick!" She yelled at him. "I thought we were a team."

"Sir, I'm going to need all of you to step outside if you're going to be this loud," The security guard said to Austin and he waved him off saying he would be quiet.

"I fucked you, Lily, because I didn't know of another way to get my anger out," Austin told her and I was taken back. Hearing those words come out made my stomach hurt. "You knew that. So stop giving me this pity shit. Tell me why the hell you broke into my room and fucked with what I love."

"Because she fucked with what I love," She said, looking over to me. "Why does she get to win? What does she have that I don't?"

"A damn good heart," Austin said to her. "You're so fucking lucky she made me copies of those pictures because if she didn't, you'd be going to jail right now."

"Call the cops on me, I don't give a shit," Lily sighed. "Nothing can change the fact that those pictures are ripped."

"Oh, hell no," I said walking towards her but Austin grabbed me, pulling me back.

"Hold on, babe," he said, wrapping his arm around me. We both faced Lily as I stood in front of him.

"The fact you carry those stupid ass pictures everywhere makes no fucking sense," Lily looked at Austin. "It's not gonna bring your mom back. She's dead, Austin. I see why she killed herself now. I would too if I had to deal with your issues."

I broke free from Austin's grasp and walked over to her with a balled fist, rearing back and connecting my fist to her face. She toppled backwards, falling to the ground. My adrenaline was pumping so fast that I had no idea what I was doing. I had never been in a fight.

"You stupid fucking bitch!" I yelled as I continued punching her in the face. I didn't want to stop. I wanted to kill her. She pulled on my hair and hit me in the eye pretty hard once and hit my lip which busted it open but I just kept hitting her until I saw blood which frightened me.

Austin lifted me off of her but I was still swinging, I was infuriated. Security helped Austin hold me back because at this point, my strength was elevated to a level I had no idea existed.
