"Amy!" Steve attempted to shake her awake, "Amy please, please wake up."

Amy didn't budge.

"Not again," Steve felt for a pulse on Amy's neck. There was a faint, small one. "Come on Amy, wake up, please!"

"Is she going to be alright?" Jacob asked.

Steve looked up at this man. Who was he? He seemed to know Amy.

"I—I-" Steve started but then stopped when he heard movement coming from Amy.

"Steve?" Amy looked up at him with confusion in her eyes. "Where—Where am I?" Amy began to slowly sit up.

"Hey, take it easy." Steve said.

Amy looked at the man behind Steve. Her eyes widened.

"I wasn't dreaming." Amy whispered.

"What?" Steve cocked a brow.

"Are you alright Amy?" Jacob asked.

Amy stood up and walked over towards her father. He was truly here. He wasn't dead. He was here.

"Dad—" Amy felt tears pour down her cheeks. She couldn't get anymore words out. So, Amy fell into her fathers arms and sobbed.

Jacob held her in his arms and cried as well. The two had missed each other for a whole year.

"I've missed you so much!" Amy cried into her fathers shirt. Jacob kissed her head and sighed.

"I've missed you too." Jacob placed another kiss on his daughter's head. "I've missed you too."

"Amy's Dad is back?" Danny looked at Steve who sat in his chair.

"Yeah, he just called her, asked Amy to go meet him and they had a family reunion."

"Well, aren't you happy for her?" Danny asked Steve.

"I am," Steve replied. "It's just, I don't know, something seems off to me."

"Well," Danny started. "I'm sure everything's fine."

"Yeah," Steve looked outside his office window. The weather was perfect today. "Maybe you're right."

[Unknown location]

It was 2:30 in the morning. Amy was sleeping at Steve's house, she had been for a few weeks. Jacob was at a hotel. The lights were off. Everything was quiet. Except for the phone that was ringing.

"Hello?" Jacob answered with a tired voice.

"Did she see you?" A man asked calmly.

Jacob sighed. "Yes."

On the other end of the phone, the man smiled.

"Good, I want you to keep tabs on her Jacob. I want her to feel safe."

"Look, I've been doing this for a year, I think I can handle this." Jacob replied.

"Don't screw up." The man said.

"I haven't!" Jacob seethed into the phone.

"You're only pretending to be her dead father. That surgery better not have been for nothing, Hank."

Hank sighed.

"Listen, Wo, I'll be able to get this done, just, trust me."

"You better," Wo Fat said, "or else I take you and the girl." The line then went dead.

Hank placed his phone down on his night stand and covered himself back up. His eyes slowly closed and he fell back into a deep sleep.
