Amy opened her eyes and saw a bright, white light. She smiled.

Amy felt calm, safe. Was this heaven? It had to be.

"Glad you're awake." A man's voice echoed in Amy's ears.

"God?" Amy couldn't see the man with the light in her eyes.

The man chuckled. "Goodness no."

"Where am I?" Amy asked as she tried to sit up. A sharp pain came from her shoulder. "Is this heaven?" Amy looked at her shoulder with confusion. If she died, how come her wound hadn't healed. Unless... this was hell. A trick put on her to make her feel like she made it upstairs.

"Relax." The light moved away from Amy's eyes. "You're safe. This isn't heaven, or hell. It's Earth." The man gave a small chuckle.

"I'm-I'm alive?" Amy was so confused, how had she survived? "How?"

"Well, you did pass out, but you had a very, slow heartbeat. Hard to monitor. So, you were pronounced dead."

Amy looked around the room for the man. But she couldn't see him. "Where are you?"

"Right behind you." The man replied as he typed away on a computer. He moved his chair back and walked in front of Amy.

"Joe?" Amy breathed. She hadn't seen this man in a long time. "It's so good to see you." Amy smiled.

"It's good to see that you're awake and getting better." Joe smiled.

"Oh, good. She's awake." A man came into the room wearing a smile on his face. But Amy's face was pale.

"Amy, it's alright." Joe noticed the way she had tenced up when the man walked in.

"He's a murderer!" Amy squeaked. "He-he tried to kill me!"

"Whoa!" The man stopped in his tracks. "Now, why would I do something like that to my own daughter?"

"His name is Hank." Amy looked at Joe. "He tried to kill me!"

"Amy." Joe grabbed the girls shoulders. "We've been monitoring Hank. This is your real father."

"It-it is?" Amy had tears in her eyes.

"The one and only." Jacob smiled.

"Dad-" Amy hugged the man as he came closer to her. She sobbed into his shirt. "I'm so happy you're alive."

"Me too." Jacob smiled. "Me too."

[One weeks after Amy's funeral]

"What's this?" Amy asked as she held up a new ID. In front of her she had a new birth certificate, drivers license, clothes. Joe had even put some hair dye in front of her.

"Your new identity." Joe replied. "It's to keep you off the radar from Hank Smith and Wo Fat."

"Who's Wo Fat?" Amy asked as she inspected her new things.

"Somebody you don't want to meet, ever." Jacob said as he walked into the room. "Now, let's get you all dolled up."

"Wait, Wait!" Amy moved her chair back a little. "What are you going to do?"

"Change your appearance." Joe replied. "You need to look differently when you go out."

"You're gonna let me go out?" Amy asked. "I can see Steve!" The girl smiled. "He might be confused at first, but I'll just explain to hi—"

"You can't talk to Steve." Joe said. "You can't tell him either."

"He'd be furious if I didn't." Amy replied.

"In order to keep your new identity a secret, you can't tell anyone you know. Anyone you meet. Is that understood?" Joe asked.

"Yes sir." Amy sighed.

[week 2]

Amy was rollerblading with some new friends. Tommy, who was the tall boy with brown curly hair. Veda, who was this sweet, ball of blond energy. And Ricky, who was the charmer of the group. Always got the ladies.

"Guys!" Amy giggled. "Wait up! I haven't done this in a long time!"

"Catch up slow poke!" Tommy yelled.

"Guys, we should really just wait for her." Veda looked at Amy with concern.

"She'll be fine, Veda." Ricky replied.

Amy rolled her eyes. She tried her best to keep her balance, but it wasn't really working.

Two men with surfboards underneath their arms walked right in front of her. Amy gasped and yelled,

"Look out!"

Both men turned around and Amy ran right into a familiar face.

"Steve!" Amy squealed inside her head. "It's really Steve!"

"Oh my god," Amy tried to get off of Steve, but her rollerblades kept sliding. "I am so sorry."

Danny had helped Amy off of Steve and she almost threw herself at the man. She missed these two so much.

Amy watched Steve as he stared at her. The man had to blink twice. Amy had to control herself. She couldn't blurt anything out. But Amy desperately wanted too.

"Steven..." Danny hit the man's shoulder to break him out of his trance.

"Oh, yeah, I'm-I'm fine." Steve smiled. "Are you alright?"

Amy smiled at Steve.

"I'm alright. A few scrapes and bruises, but I'll be fine." Amy replied. "I'm sorry I ran into you Mr..."

"Steve, Steve McGarrett." Steve held out his hand for the woman to shake.

"Ashley Taylor." Amy (now known as Ashley) shook his hand.

"Ashley!" Veda called out. "Come on!" Her friends were waving her over. Smiles were on all of their faces.

"I should go, don't want to keep my friends waiting." Ashley waved to Steve and he gave her a small wave back.

Keeping this secret from him was going to drive her insane!
