"Papa!" Amy jumped up onto her swing set seat, "papa, push me!"

Amy's father, Jacob, chuckled.

"Alright, Alright."

Amy began to go higher and higher as her father pushed her on the swing. A big smile began to form on her lips.

"I can't let you leave." Jacob whispered to keep his daughter from hearing the conversation between himself and his wife.

Amy hid behind a wall, listening in on her parents conversations.

"You'll at least have your daughter. That' is, until she joins the police force."

"She can do whatever she wants. It's her life, not yours." Jacob said.

"Dad?" Amy came into the living room.

Jacob sighed.

"Amy, please go back to bed."

"But—" Amy started.

"Now, please." Jacob asked.

Amy nodded her head.

"Yes Dad."

"Let's go! Keep moving!" A drill sergeant yelled at the cadets. Rain poured down onto the muddy, sweaty people. Amy pushed her wet hair out of her eyes and sprinted towards the last check point. Once she reached it, she stopped and began to take a breather.

"Nicely done miss Noon." The drill sergeant gave Amy a quick smile.

"Thanks." Amy breathed. "I think I lost a few of my organs along the way." Amy chuckled to herself.

The drill sergeant chuckled and walked away. Someone else came up to Amy with a sad look on their face.

"What is it?" Amy asked.

"It's about your father." The person replied.

"What happened? Is he alright?"

"He's missing."

Amy shot awake. Her forehead had beads of sweat on it. Her heart was racing. Her cheeks were wet from tears. Amy didn't realize she was crying in her sleep.

The sheets next to Amy moved. She must've woken him up.

"Amy, what's wrong?"

"Nothing Steve, I'm fine."

"Was it another dream again?" Steve asked.

Amy looked at Steve.

"How'd you know about the dreams?" Amy asked.

"Because I know you." Steve smiled.

Amy gave a quick smile.
