Amy sat on the couch next to Steve. His arm was around her shoulders. The TV was on. The two were catching up on their shows. Amy wanted to watch Lucifer, but Steve wanted to watch NCIS. So, Amy agreed with him and watched the show.

"How have you been lately?" Steve asked Amy.

"Steve, I've told you this many times. I'm fine. I swear."

"Are you sure?" Steve asked. "You've been a little distant with your father lately."

"How do you know?" Amy sat up on the couch and looked at Steve.

"You haven't called him in three hours. For you, that's a record without calling anybody." Steve smiled. Amy laughed.

"Have you been watching me?" Amy smiled.

"Maybe." Steve replied. He leaned towards Amy and gave her a sweet kiss.

Amy yawned. She looked at her phone and saw that the time was 11:30 p.m.

"I think it's time we go to bed, Steve."

"I agree." Steve turned off the TV and the two headed upstairs.

~🌸~

It was two in the morning. Steve And Amy we're fast asleep. A loud thud came from downstairs. Steve bolted upright.

"What is it?" Amy groaned. She was slowly waking up.

"I don't know." Steve put on some sweats and opened his drawer next to his bed. He pulled out his gun and made sure it was loaded.

"Steve..." Amy was now sitting up in bed. She grabbed her shirt from off of the floor and grabbed a pair of sweats as well.

"Stay here." Steve said as he headed out of the bedroom. He slowly made his way down the steps.

Amy sighed and took out her gun from her drawer. She checked to see if it was loaded. Amy put the magazine back into the gun and took the safety off. She then made her way out of the bedroom and down the stairs.

"Steve!" Amy whisper-shouted. "Where are you?"

Steve came around the corner and jumped when he saw Amy. "I thought I told you to stay upstairs!"

"You really think I was just gonna let you come down here by yourself?" Amy asked. A faint click sound came from the kitchen.

"You, Stay!" Steve walked towards the kitchen.

"Steven!" Amy whisper-shouted. The man ignored her.

Soon, there was fighting. And Steve was kicked out of the kitchen, literally.

"Freeze!" Amy shouted and pointed her gun at the masked man. He whipped his head towards her and quickly raised his right arm. Amy pulled the trigger and watched the man fall to the floor.

"Amy!" Steve shouted. His eyes were trained on something behind her.

Amy quickly spun around and was met with a fist. She stumbled back and wiped the blood from her nose onto her arm.

Amy raised her arms up only to realize she had lost her gun.

"Looking for this?" The man wiggled Amy's gun in his right hand. Then, he pointed it at the girl and fired.

"AMY!" Steve yelled. He went to tackle the man but stopped when the gun was pointed at his chest.

"Relax, I shot her shoulder. She'll be fine. For now, at least." The masked man smiled.

Amy groaned in pain and covered her bleeding shoulder. The masked man walked over towards her.

"Not so tough now, huh?" The man looked down at Amy.

"Go to hell." Amy groaned.

The man laughed. He bent down and forcefully grabbed Amy off of the ground and dragged her towards Steve. "You, carry her."

"We're not going with you." Steve stood up straight.

"I wasn't asking." The man pointed the gun at Amy's face. "Let's go. Now!"

Steve picked Amy up and looked her over. Her face was slightly becoming pale. She needed stitches. Otherwise, she'd die slowly by blood loss.

"She needs stitches." Steve said as he began to follow the man out of his house.

"Get in." The man roughly shoved Steve and Amy into a black van. He closed the door and the van came to life.

Amy groaned and sighed loudly. "Is it me, or is the room spinning?"

Steve moved some of Amy's hair out of the way. He checked her pulse. When he found that it was regularly beating, he sighed with relief.

"How do you feel?" Steve asked as he grabbed a rag and placed it on Amy's shoulder. She hissed in pain.

"I feel like I'm dizzy, weak, a little nauseous. But, all in all, I feel like a million bucks."

Steve laughed.

"You look hot without a shirt on." Amy smiled and then giggled.

Steve shook his head and smiled.

"And you look hot with that gushing gun shot wound."

"Oh yeah?" Amy raised a brow.

"Yeah." Steve smiled. "Looks good on you."

"Thanks." Amy smiled.

"Hey," Steve caressed Amy's cheek. "We'll get out of this. I promise."

"I know we will." Amy began to shiver slightly. "But, will I be awake to see it?"

Steve sighed. "Of course. Don't worry, I'll figure something out."

"You always do." Amy smiled. Steve leaned down and placed a sweet kiss on Amy's lips. He wasn't going to lose her again.
