By the time I got to Singers Auto Repairs, Bobby was ready to lose his basically permanent baseball cap:
"Ye bloody idjit! Of all the days to be late, you decide to do it on the day Jody might actually skin my rear for real. You know if we miss this flight, you are explaining to her why she couldn't go the bloody islands with all the bloody sun and sand and blood sucking insects and hiking trails" My uncle Bobby ranted as he fumbled around for the keys to his truck, while throwing the garage's key to me.
"You know Jody would just find another way for you to get some exercise, and you might just enjoy the alternative" I say, sending him a wink and smirk as I grab a rag to use when my hands inevitably end up full of oil.
"Why don't you just climb into my bed why don't ye. Bloody nosy idjit. Now don't burn down the place while I'm gone and make sure Sammy actually gets some rest. And if you bring a girl round, I dont want to find any of your tightie whities laying around." says Bobby while gruffly climbing into the truck and speeding off to spend 10 days on a sunny beach somewhere with his wife, Jody.
I scoff, Like I wear tightie whities. And besides, I don't even remember the last time I got any action. This whole trying to be a responsible adult to Sammy is tougher than I thought. In the past I could still rely on Mom and let my hair down and paint the town red...It's not like I'd bring a girl home to spend the night anyway, not with that dork studying till all hours of the morning.
(Fast forward to 6pm)
Oh God I hate these things. Just look at all these stuck up parents trying to suck up to the teachers. I just hope none of these preppy moms with their conservatives party outfits come near me, highschool still sucks and I'm not even in it anymore... I wonder if any of these girls are 18 yet? Could be fun to see a little bit of cheerleding action.
"Hey Dean... Earth to Dean" I feel a slight punch on my arm. I turn and it's my Sammy trying to nudge me to concentrate on what's being said by Principle Blake. God, Blake was a boring overwight prat when I was still here. Now he looks and sounds like an obese whale, with his boring droning.
"And last but not least, I believe that this year's annual Knowledge Cup will be shining in our display once more thanks to young Mr Winchester who has qualified for the 16 and older category and our newest student, all the way from Canada: Mr Gabriel Novak." Booms Blake. Naturally everyone turns to stare at my 1,93m giant of a brother, not having to look very hard to spot his head above the crowd before hushed whispers indicates the search for the new outsider.
Sammy decided to shuffle towards the exit. It was hilarious seeing him try to inconspicuously leave the hall, his head and shoulders towering over the rest of the crowd. A deep blush on my face, matching my red and black plaid shirt, as gruffly start moving myself through the crowd to follow Sam.
"God Dean. That was mortifying." Sam growns as he quickly scans the parking lot for Baby.
"Aah why are you shy Sammy? Now the whole school knows what a huge dork you are." I say, a smirk on my face as I stride over to Baby. There's two people leaning against her talking...
"Hey, ass off of Baby! " I say, my voice higher than I'd like.
Whoever it was startled and spun around. All I could see is a pair of electric blue eyes staring straight into my own green orbs.
"I-I...I'm so-sorry" mutters the man with the shockingly blue eyes.
My brain is fried. I should say something but I don't. Luckily Sammy saves my ass.
"Don't mind him. He thinks he gave birth to this car." Sammy explains, giving them his winning puppy eyed smile.
"Great! Another obsessed person for you to be friends with Cassie" says a guy with strangely golden looking eyes. He looks about Sammy's age but shorter than he should have been.
"Gabriel. Thats not a nice thing to say" mumbles the man with the electric eyes, Cassie. Sammy chuckles at the exchange.
"Sorry about my brother. He was born with a stick up his..." Gabriel begins.
"Enough Gabriel." Cassie says with a tone of authority I wouldn't have thought the slim, timid man was capable of...
Something inside of me turns
