I know I don't usually make additional author's comments or notes but I wanted to explain why I am uploading earlier than usual -for the few individuals who actually follow this story (lizr12). Thanks by the way. So, I am leaving for RTD (Rocking The Daisies) which is a music festival with nearly all of my closest highschool friends. Conext: I am currently 3rd year university and moved out of my home town. So anyway, I am REALLY excited and can't sleep even though I only got about 4 hours of sleep, wrote a Physiology paper today and spent about 3 hours driving and packed all of my stuff and finished an assignment. But that's enough from me. I hope you enjoy :)
Dean p.o.v
Thank god this day is over. Stupid bloody blond who didn't realize the blinking oil light meant you actually needed to replace the goddamn oil. Because of the burnt oil it ruined just about half of the entire engine. I haven't spent so much time under the hood of a single car since Baby finally became mine.
I push the door open to Bake 'n Byte, a small slice of pie before I go home to make some lemon herb chicken and potato salad for supper...probably need to put some green leaves or something in there for sam...Still in thought I bump into someone.
"Oh, crap. I'm sorry." The person I bumped into is Cas...and he has what looks like blueberry jam on his nose.
"Cas, I'm so sorry. I didn't see ya buddy" I move to wipe the jam off with my thumb while I blush frantically trying to look anywhere but into his eyes. His widened eyes meet mine.
"Dean. That is perfectly alright. Accidents happen." He gently shrugs and then do I only notice that my hand is still on his face. I quickly remove it, placing it on the back of my neck.
"Yo Deano, what can I get you? Sweet potato, peanut butter, pumpkin or the trifecta: cherry, apple and blueberry?" Says Charlie. Her hawk eyes picking up on my awkwardness and thankfully saving me...for a change.
Snapping out of Cas's hypnotic stare, I respond. "Which sane person sells pumpkin pie in spring Charlie?" My voice slightly shaky.
"Someone who is always prepared for an equally insane customer" she says, throwing a wink in my direction.
"Just a small slice of cherry, I still gotta go home and start on our supper." I explain, my voice trailing slightly as my eyes follow Charlies hands as they work with my pie.
"Right, our weekly supper. Hey, I hope you don't mind but I invited Cas and his brother too. The more the merrier and all that." Charlie is looking between myself and Cas, who is staring shell shocked at her.
How do I feel about Charlie just inviting people over to my dinner? I mean, it sounds like her usual pushy self... Plus, I'll get to spend more time with Cassie...
"Sure Charlier, mi casa, su casa and all that" I say, smiling at Cas. He blushes slightly.
"That is nice of you Dean..." Cas starts, biting his lip before continuing, his eyes turning slightly sad, "But we couldn't impose. I'll just order some chinese and read instead." He sounds so sad. No, I cannot be the cause for his sadness.
"Dude, seriously. I think our brothers have a crush on each other anyway so them being able to spend more time together will probably be heaven to them anyway." I say, chuckling as I turn my attention to my lovely slim slice of pie.
"So you are telling me that Samual is gay?" Cas asks, turning to face me fully now.
"I'm saying Sammy hasn't been this googly eyed for anyone before. Not that there haven't been opportunities." Poor Jess. She was gorgeous and they actually made it work for a whole 6 months before they finally broke up.
"Interesting" mumbles Cas with a faraway gaze in his eyes.
"So I assume that Gabe is either gay or bi?" I say with pie in my mouth. Cas frowns.
"Yes... he came out just before...before we moved" Cas answers, squirming in his seat.
"Well. As long as he doesn't break Sammy's heart. Cause if he does, I'll have to rip his lungs out." Cas stares at me wide eyed. Shock, concern and panic flashes across his face.
"Yo Deano. What on earth have you done now again?" Charlie states, obviously annoyed with me or some other patron.
Cas turns to look at Charlie, "He threatened to rip Gabriel's lungs out".
"Ooh, the lung rip threat. That's reserved soley for Sammy which means Gabe has a crush on Sammy... meaning Gabe is either gay, bi, pan or genderfluid" Says Charlie, her voice trailing as she thought through all the possibilities.
"He is bisexual actually." responds Cas, slightly uncomfortable with the intimacy of the current topic of conversation.
"Well, good for him, well both of them actually because I don't think Sammmy'll reject him. If Gabe is half as handsome as you are, he won't have to worry about rejection from that Winchester at all." Charlie explains, looking at me. Was that a jab at me???
"So it's sorted. Charlie, you bring pie. Enough for you guys and enough for me. " I turn to Cas, his innocently wide eyes awaiting inclusion, the formal invite.
"Cas. You and Gabe could bring a salad. I hate those things but Sam thinks he's a Moose. So everybody got it?" I state, annoyed by how easy it was to insert both Cas and even Gabriel is beyond me.
"Any allergies I should be aware of?" Cas asks, his head tilting towards me. Must he be cute, smart and bloody considerate?
"Only cats, Cas." I respond, looking at his gorgeous face longer than is really neccessary.
"But cats are such adorable creatures of God, Dean." Cas says. His face and eyes full of earnesty.
"I don't care what they are. No man should be a snivelling mess because of fur in his own home. So no cats. I'll text you the address and we'll see you at 7." I say gruffly, finishing my pie and getting up from the counter.
"Oh...of course Dean. Okay, we will see you at 7. Thank you."
"I'll see ya Charlie. And don't be late you asswipe." I say to the general direction of the kitchen.
"I love you too Dean!" Was the response I got.
Charlie, you son of a bitch, I think fondly as I climb into Baby and head to the store to get more supplies, She's going to out me by accident one of these days...
