So somehow I made a grave mistake and this chapter was never published. It is part 23 for those who care :) ENJOY

Dean p.o.v

"And on tonight's menu we have lovely A grade steak with a side of noodle salad and a green toss salad" I say in a fake posh accent. Cas laughs as I take a low bow. I love hearing Cas laugh. It's so light and throaty. It shouldn't work but it sounds like heaven on earth. Cas and I are in the kitchen, waiting for Charlie and the boys.

"Dean, do you think it would be okay if I played you a song?" Cas asked out of the blue.

"Sure Cas, go ahead and connect your phone. The aux is by the sound system in the tv room." I say, shrugging,  paying more attention at not burning the mushrooms I'm busy sautee'ing.

I'm surprised when I strong melody resonates through my small home. The artisit, I later identify as Russ, sings about love, family and the role of each. The lyrics rings a bell of  family when we were with John...

"Cas...?" I ask, about a minute into the song, willing my voice to stay strong.

"Yes Dean?" Cas asks, and I can feel his head tilt rather than actually see it because I am still facing the stove rather than at him.

"Do you think we become our parents when we have kids?" Where the hell did that come from? I mean, it's a valid question because god knows I don't want to become John but seriously Winchester, what the hell.

For a while Cas doesn't say anything. I guess he doesn't want to talk about it.

"I believe that our parents may mould us into who we are when we are older but so do all the major individuals in our lives. We do not necessarily become them when we ourselves become parents. For example, my parents raised myself and gabriel and we turned out as polar opposite to my mother as possible. She is a staunch Christian who believes we will rot in hell for our sexual orientation while our father just wants to see his children happy. I will not be as judgemental towards the decisions my children make within reason of course." Cas says, his voice contemplative. I am truly blown away by this man. Before I can think of something say, Sammy and the others walk through the house. Sammy's regular rythmic footsteps followed by faster and lighter footsteps.

"Whaddup bitches?" Charlie says, walking straight to the fridge. Popping it open, she stores our dessert. Pie, obviously, before coming to give both Cas and myself a group hug.

"Thank you for last night you guys. It means the world to me." She says softly.

I give her a kiss on her head in response."That's what family's for Char.". Cas doesn't say anything but I see his crimson blush.

After Char finally lets us go, Cas and I start putting the food on the table while Char goes to call the boys. As we all take our seats, Sammy's got a mortified expression on his face and Char looks slightly stunned. Gabe however has a poker face up.

"What's up with you Sammy? Looks like you just saw Bobby naked?" I ask, my mouth full of food.

"Uh...nothing Dean. Don't worry about it." He says, focussing on his food.

I turn my attention: "Gabe, spill." I say, a slight authorative tone in my voice. Cas tilts his head to look at me, a slight smouldering glint mixed with curiosity in his eyes.

With a deadpan expression, Gabe provides information. "Charlie walked in on me giving Samoose a Blowjob." I nearly choke on my beer. Jesus! Sammy was getting a blowjob, in our house. While there are people here.

"So that explains why Charlie looks like she was hit by a stun-gun and why Samual looks like he is hoping the floor would eat him alive." Cas says simply. How can he be so calm about all of this? I mean, it's his brother too! Not Sammy but Gabe and just...

With a strangled voice: "What the hell Cas? How are you so calm about this?"

Turning to face me, Cas answers calmly: "Because Dean, they are teenaged boys with raging hormones. At least we do not have to worry about becoming uncles." Turning to the guilty parties, Cas continues."You two should however get your HIV statuses tested. Accidents happen. Also, I would advice that you wait until the household is asleep or you are alone. I am not sure what Dean's policy is regarding locked doors, but at our home Gabe is not allowed to lock doors but we do have a knocking policy which we have implemented." There is silence in the tiny dining room. Gabe shrugs, opening yet another lolly. Sammy looks like he wants to seriously be swallowed whole by the floor, Guess Gabe didn't swallow.  Char looks like she might burst out in laughter. Cas, Cas is the epitome of calm, eating his food and apparently blissfully ignorant to the rest of us. I can just imagine what my face looks like right now. Because it feels like you could fry an egg on my cheeks.

Looking at me with his electric blue orbs, Cas casually bowls me over. "Dean, don't be such a prude. I am sure you did worse to girls back in school." Char can't keep it in any longer and she suddenly bursts out laughing, the others quickly joining in. Even Sammy laughs after looking at me pointedly. My cheeks are basically radiating heat and I splutter, trying to come up with excuses...but I can't as I remember getting caught in the act with Lisa Braedon back in 11th grade.

"By the look on your face Dean, I assume my conclusion was correct." Cas says carefully watching my reaction.

"Just lock the door next time Sammy." I say eventually.
