Cas p.o.v
After supper, Dean disappeared telling me he has to check on something. A few minutes later he reappeared in the dining room, his shirt sleeves rolled up. Sitting down again, he takes another swig of his...fourth or fifth beer, I forget.
"Hey Cas?" Dean says, looking at me with a glint in his eye.
"Hhmhmm?" I respond, finishing what's left of the wine in my glass.
"I think you need a refill." He says, chuckling reaching for the wine bottle.
"Uhmm Cas. The bottle is finished. Want another one?" Dean says, looking slightly surprised, not noting the various bottles of beer on the table.
Want some more of you. "That offer stand for you too?". Dean blushes but laughs.
"Cas, I think you may be drunk love."
"Drunk on looooove." I say, a large grin on my face.
"Come on. I have one more surprise for you." Dean says, finishing his beer.
"A KITTEN? Dean. Dean, did you get me a kitten?" A kitten would be so cute. We could name it and be its daddies.
Grabbing my hand, Dean leads me down the hallway. "Not this time." I pout to myself but allow myself to be dragged to the...bathroom. There are more candles on the bath rim, toilet lid, basin accompanied by a bubble bath that smells like lavender and something more bitter...aloe or something...
Standing behind me, Dean rests his hands on my shoulders. Giving me a gentle massage, he speaks in my ear. Low, as if afraid to be overheard by some imaginary beings, "I did some research and apparently soaking in a bubble bath will help with the pain. Charlie says lavender is soothing along with aloe that's antibacterial and stuff." He explains, pushing me slightly towards the awaiting bubble bath.
He did all of this for me? Dean did this because of pain I asked for? He even discussed this with Charlie which would have meant discussing us...and emotions.
"C-Cas" Dean says, his voice shaking. I guess I was quiet for too long.
"Dean. You did all of this? For me?" I ask. My voice is soft. I am awestruck by the entity which is Dean Winchester.
With a shaky laugh, Dean responds: "Of course Babe. For you, anything."
"Uhm. You're aware that I have bottom-med before so I am accustomed to the ass-ociated pain" I say, leaning slightly into Dean's touch. It feels so good. Just being near him makes me feel...safe.
"But that doesn't mean I needed to make you limp. I should have had some more self-control. I should have-" Dean explains but his self abmonishment is cut short by me turning around and giving him a sloppy thank you kiss.
"Join me?" I ask between kisses. Dean grunts in agreement. his hands moving to unbutton my shirt as mine move to unbuckle his belt.
Chuckling, Dean gently ends the kiss. Causing me to pout.
"Cas. This is what got you so sore in the first place. We're here to make you feel better." Dean says, gently nudging me forwards again. This time I allow my body to be guided to the awaiting bath of soothing aftercare.
(Fast Forward)
"Cas, I don't think I can do this anymore" Dean says. He looks worn. Dark rings under his eyes. Eyes which refuse to look at me. Eyes which hold my world within them. "I mean I can't continue doing this with you Castiel."
"Ex-excuse me?" I splutter in utter confusion. My stomach lurches and it feels like I am about to have my heart burst through my ribcage. My hands starts shaking, as if my body is physically rejecting the impending disaster.
Rubbing his face in frustration, Dean finally looks at me and his eyes are a hollow shell of the almost whimsically green they once were. "I am saying we are over adn I'm taking the baby with me." That's when I notice the bag slung over his shoulder. It has little pink and blue bunnies on it, diapers and bottles haphazardly stuffed into it.
"But-but why Dean? You said you'd never leave. You promised me!" My voice breaks as tears begin to sting behind my eyelids.
"Because you are always working. We never get to see you anymore. Plus your brother broke Sammy's heart! He won't leave the house. Hell, he won't leave his room unless I physically drag him out. I need to look after my family." As simple as that and Dean turns around, heading for the door.
"Dean no!"
"Dean no!"
There's someone shoving me. And a noise. None of this matters! Dean can't just leave! No. No. No.
"Cas!" More shoving. More urgent this time.
"Cas, Babe. Wake up!" I know this voice. It's Dean's voice. Dean!
Ripping my eyes open, there he is. Eyes wide, sparkling green with worry. Dean. My Dean.
"Dean" I sigh, cupping his face with my hands.
"You were busy tossing and mumbling. Then you said 'Dean no' and at first I thought you were speaking to me but your eyes were closed and I tried waking you up." He explains. His eyes searching mine for what I imagine would be clues to watever caused my turmoil.
Dropping my hands to my sides; I stare at the barely illuminated ceiling of Dean's bedroom. A bedside lamp distorts the shadow of his ceiling fan. There is a stationary ceiling fan. "It was just a nightmare." I say, trying to sound calm and in control. The shaking in my voice betrays my intentions.
Propping a pillow against the bedframe, Dean asks: "What was your nightmare about Cas? And don't lie because you suck at it."
He is right. I am a pathetic liar. Gabe says I couldn't lie about the day of the week. So how am I going to get myself out of this one? Perhaps I should just be honest...Not about the little girl. Just about him leaving and Gabe. But if I mentioned Gabe breaking Sam's heart, he might become irrational due to the profound protectiveness he feels over Sam.

"Earth to Cas." Dean says, snapping his fingers infront of my face.
"Oh, sorry." I mumble.
"Care to share bud?" Worry now laces his voice.
"I just had a nightmare about you leaving me because I work too much and Gabe and Sam's relationship failing." I blurt out.
Turning to look at how Dean received this information is illuminating. With the limited light in the room, I can make out shifts in his facial exoressions. Worry. Shock. Realization. Compassion.
"We can get through more than just a little bit of workaholic-ness Cas. And as far as our idiot brothers' relationship goes: not our relationship, not our problem." He says, so simply. Pulling me closer, Dean places a kiss on my forheard "Now let's get some sleep angel."
