Next thing that I knew, I woke up in a hospital bed, wearing those gowns with nothing under them. Nothing was connected to me, all I could do was view what I was surrounded with. Chairs were scattered everywhere, the heart monitor beats with it's steady tempo, and the room was plain. I sit myself up, seeing a better view of the room. "Ahh? Marie Squidbeak correct?" The doctor invites himself into my hospital room. "Yeah... that's me," I nod. "You're probably wondering why'd you ended up here yes?" "Yeah, I would like to know," I reply. "You see, we picked you up at your house, you were out cold. So we rushed you to the hospital, we examined to see if something was wrong," the doctor explains. "Well...? What's wrong with me?" "Did you take any melatonin? When we examined it there were too much of it in you. Did you try to over dose?" The doctor questions me. Then I realized, in the rice balls that Sayuri gave me, was drugged with melatonin. "No I would never overdose, I was drugged and I didn't know," I sigh.

"How were you drugged?"

"Someone gave me rice balls that had some."

"Make sense," the doctor sighs. He went rambling on, and I remembered that the hospital called me to see Callie as quick as I can. "Sir, what hospital is this?" My hands start shaking. "Inkopolis' Original Hospital, the only hospital between Plaza and Square," he replies. It's the same hospital Callie is in. "I... have to go," I stutter. "What was that Squidbeak?" One of the doctor's assistants raises her eyebrow. "Callie needs me.... CALLIE NEEDS ME!" I start screaming, getting up and trying to run out of my room. The doctor and and some of his assistants held me down. I repeated myself, "CALLIE NEEDS ME!" The doctors still pinned me down on the hospital bed, making me fill with rage. I push them off of me, took my IV bag and ran out as quickly as I could. As I ran, all the numbers were way different from Callie's. My room was 10-938, the top floor. "Room 10-938, we got a runner." The intercom screeches over the speakers, hurting my ears. I took the stairs, knowing the doctors would expect me to go on the elevators. The IV bag was in my hands, I couldn't feel my feet but I was still running. I went to the third floor and straight ahead was Callie's room. Room 3-124.

I barge right in, and there laid Callie, still stiff as a board. "Ah, Marie. Didn't know you were checked into this hospital as well," Callie's doctor grins. "You told me to come here immediately...." I huff out of breath. "Indeed I did, it's great news honestly... this morning I saw Callie's fingers twitch... it's a good sign that she's waking up!" "R-Really?" All of that rage left me, and I was filled with so much hope. "We wanted to see if you would somehow talk or sing to her... most patients with comas respond or wake up to those voices," Callie's doctor moves to the door. "I'll give you two privacy... holler if something is wrong..."

"Thank you doc," I smile, he leaves the room. I jump on Callie's bed, sitting beside her and holding her gentle hand. "Callie... it's me, Marie." I start talking. "These two weeks were so crazy without you... Pearl and Marina are and still so worried about you..." I kept rambling on, but nothing worked. The heart monitor was almost making the long beep sound, when they find out she's dead. This was my last chance... and I finally resorted to singing. I didn't know what to sing, it was hard to decide when I hear her heart monitor so close... when I came to the idea. The one that I heard before I ever met someone so important in my life. "Lullaby of Tadaka". The one mother sang. My voice was raspy, but I still sang and caressing her soft hand.

I sang all of that song, but nothing happened. "Callie cod damnit! Just wake up!" I murmur, and I hear this soft groan.

Her gold colored eyes open, and she started breathing. Her eyes water a little, and the first thing she said was, "....Marie?" It felt like the world just stopped. I heard such a sweet voice... say my name. My head turned to her, Callie woke up. Everything was silent, not a single sound was heard. My tears were like waterfalls, Callie... woke up. "Callie... it's Marie..." I stutter with tears still drowning around us. "Marie...!" Her eyes open a bit more. I hug her, it took her long to hug me back. "Marie... I thought about what you said when... you talked to me... what did I want..." Callie slowly talks. Before she said anything else, my doctor barges into the room with backup. "There she is!" The doctor screams. His assistants grabbed me by my shoulders. "W-what?" Callie sits up in a panic. "What's going on... Marie...!" "Marie silly girl, shouldn't leave your room like that~ need permission and some guidance~" he taunts. The crazy doctors took me back to my room, Callie's doctor just sat there.
