Better Times || A Splatoon Story

Day XVI Hour 10

I woke up, remember today I had to leave everyone for a while. Yoko was already up. We slept in her bed room. Yoko made me sleep in her bed and she slept in the other that was her roommate's bed. She said her roommate was away for now. I stretch as I get out of bed and glided outside her room. Yoko was in the kitchen making food, toast to be exact. "Ahh you're up~" Yoko smiles. The toast burning reminded me when Callie made me breakfast when I would get sick. POP. The toast was done, and Yoko grabs the two pieces of bread. "I'll get some stuff to spread on," Yoko digs into her fridge and pantry for butter, peanut butter, and Nutella. Looking at Nutella reminded me of Callie, every morning on the weekends we make pancakes and spread the Nutella on top. But I didn't want anything on my toast, so I just ate it. "Oh... guess I didn't need to get anything out huh..." Yoko murmurs to herself. She puts everything back after she puts some butter on her toast. We both ate and relaxed. I checked my phone one last one, before I put it on airplane mode all day.

"Are you excited for the tour?" Yoko wonders. "Yeah, should be fun," I pause. Even if I have to go for a awful reason, I need to think the bright of things. "How about you?" "Well yeah. I'm pretty lucky I get to see the whole world, or even just sitting here. I am a salmonling after all, and maybe will grow use to me. Maybe in other places, we will see Salmonids!" Yoko tells me. "Mm, I see," I nod. The toast was perfectly toasted. "So Marie, what should we do in the mean time while we wait for our flight?" Yoko already finishes her toast. "I kinda want to see all of Inkopolis for a last time," I shrug. "Well I haven't seen everything in Inkopolis, so we should totally do it!" I really loved how Yoko spoke. Salmonlings have really cute accents, well just Yoko's I guess. I never heard any others speak. I finish after. "Well, let's get ready for the day~" Yoko beams once more.

We changed into our clothing. Yoko wearing a black tight crop top with a turtle neck, and high waisted jeans rips by the knees, and one of the original pairs of kicks from Shrimp Kicks. I wore baggy overalls and a tight stripe shirt, with a pair of converse. We finish getting ready and went outside. I never really noticed how pretty her town was. The trees are above providing shade on the sidewalks, flowers were fully bloomed, and the grass was greener than in Inkquelious. "Welp, shall we go?" I turn to Yoko. "Yeah!" Yoko nods.

We went to Inkopolis, I showed Yoko everywhere she's never been, she reminded me of a little kid seeing the world for the first time. She's so cute.
