A Night of...

18.

After a fun-filled day at my Mom’s mansion, we finally went home right after dinner. I brought home some excess of the spaghetti I made and a whole marinated chicken waited to be roasted.

The kids were all asleep during the ride, each taking one of a body part of mine as a pillow. Sophie took my lap while Rence rested his head on my shoulder.

The mansion was way too silent when we arrived, the maids welcomed us in, while the guards took the children in their arms and climbed the stairs and put them to bed.

I instructed the maids to run them a sponge bath and change them into their pajamas and let them rest after. I kissed both of them good night before going to the kitchen. I was planning to roast and reheat the foods but then Manang Remedios said that Raphael is not yet home.

Maybe he thought we were really going to leave him when we’re just going to visit my Mom. Boy does he really have a very wayward mind.

I asked butler to call his office to know if he’s still there and yes it was confirmed by his secretary that he was still working. I then asked Tom to ready my car. I am planning to have dinner with him in some private and cozy place so we can talk and maybe patch things up.

I still want the arrangement to work. I love the kids too much to hurt them also Raphael is becoming a significant person in my life. But if we’re really that different and happily ending won’t really come out. At least I know I’ve tried and will then have no regrets on the failure of this deal.

On the way there I was googling the net for some fine restaurants around the vicinity we can dine to. I found a certain place to my liking, just a few minutes from Ralph’s office. From the reviews they say that the place has a calm ambiance, popular for dates, and the food is 5-star.

I immediately called and made reservations under Raphael’s name. It’s kind of awkward if I have it under my name and his with me. It’s like a bruise to his ego that people there would know that his date had made the reservation and not him.

The security was very strict on letting as in. I keep on telling him that I am Ralph’s wife he keeps on telling me that the reason I’m using is already used that many girls have pretended to be his girlfriend to his wife just to come in.

“You really won’t let me in?” I asked calmly. There’s really no reason to act barbaric in front of them, they’re just doing their job; thus I should be thankful because I know that Ralph is safe here.

“Can you please call Steven for me?” one of the guards glared at me before nodding and holding up his walkie-talkie trying to reach Steven’s then reporting the situation in here and that I requested for his presence.

After a few minutes of waiting, thankfully Steven rushed out to save me from the insects that have been trying to bite my white skin, but most of their attempts were failed because Marge keeps on fanning them away from my luscious skin.

“Miss! I didn’t know you were coming. Why didn’t you asked for me immediately when they first refused to let you in?” Steven asked, as he reached us then bowed.

“Guys please do remember that Miss Sara is telling the truth, I hope this kind of misunderstanding won’t happen again. The Master won’t appreciate it even for a slight bit, understood?” steven introduced me and ordered in a very commanding tone.

“Of course Sir! Miss we apologize for the inconvenience, this won’t happen again.” They said with a bow.

“Don’t worry, I understand you were just doing your jobs.” I smiled happily at them before entering the building.
