Chapter 3

Yuzu sighed deeply feeling exhausted. Yuzu knew this stuff already...well some stuff. Yuzu wrote down notes in her notebook and looked up at the teacher. Yuzu couldn't help but...just admire her. Everything about her is so perfect. Her hair...her eyes...her voice...her body
Wh-what the hell?! What am I thinking?! Her body! Yuzu what's going on with you? Ugh! I can't concentrate!
"Okogi-san" Mei said snapping Yuzu back to reality
"Y-yes ma'am?" Yuzu asked
"Please come up to the board and solve this problem" Mei said
"Yes ma'am" Yuzu said and stood up from her seat then walked up to the board. Yuzu looked at the problem and started solving.
"Impressive Okogi-san but please pay more attention in class. You seemed quite distracted back there. Why don't you come and sit in the front?" Mei asked
"W-well I mean sure I guess" Yuzu said
Wait...why am I feeling nervous?
Yuzu walked away and headed to her new seat in the front near the teacher's desk. During class Yuzu couldn't focus that well on the lesson. She was really attracted to Mei but didn't realize it. The bell rung for lunch time and the students stood up to head to the cafeteria
"Okogi you were really great today. I've heard many things about you" Mei said
"H-huh? You heard about me?" Yuzu asked
"Of course. I was the one who invited you to this Academy to help you achieve your goals" Mei said and smiled softly at Yuzu
"Oh th-thanks" Yuzu said and walked out the room. Yuzu felt her heart beat quicken which annoyed her. Yuzu just shook her head and entered the cafeteria. She grabbed her lunch and looked around where to sit with but...there was no one. She looked away and sat on an empty table. She looked at her food and didn't felt hungry.
"Whatever..." Yuzu mumbled
"Okogi...what are you doing here alone?" She heard Mei ask. Yuzu's eyes widen and turned around seeing her teacher
"A-ah sensei what are y-you doing here?" Yuzu asked
"I came over to see my friend but...I saw you here...alone" Mei said
"Oh...well you can leave. I'm used to being alone..." Yuzu said. Mei's expression soften and she sat down next to Yuzu. Yuzu blushed and felt her heart go wild.
Ugh! Wh-why am I so nervous? Why do I feel wierd? Is it because she's my teacher?
"S-sensei why are-"
"Mei..." Mei said
"H-huh?" Yuzu asked
"Call me Mei" Mei said
"U-um...okay Mei...so why are you s-sitting with me?" Yuzu asked
"I've seen you before in elementary. I used to be a tutor in the elementary you went to and I remembered how lonely you were...it made me feel terrible seeing you all alone" Mei said
"Like I said...I'm used to being alone" Yuzu said
"Wanna be friends?" Mei asked
"W-well...I d-don't-"
"I know we just met and I'm a teacher but...seeing you here alone makes me feel bad since...I know how it feels like" Mei said mumbling the last part
"I see..." Yuzu said
"Aihara! We need to talk" A man said calling her
"I must go now but if you need anything or need someone to talk to you can always talk to me" Mei said and left. Yuzu watched Mei walking away and felt her heart skip a beat. The students looked at Yuzu with a shocking expression
"N-no way..." She heard Phila say
"What?" Yuzu asked
"No student has ever talked to Ms. Aihara" Phila said
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asked
"Students are terrified of Miss Aihara. She's usually serious most of the time and always looks at students with her cold eyes. Some say her eyes can make you feel cold that you can't move a muscle when she looks at you" Phila said and sat down next to her
"Oh..." Yuzu said and started eating her lunch
"What did she tell you?" Phila asked
"She um...wanted to be my friend" Yuzu said
"No way! She asked you to be her friend!" A girl exclaimed and went up to Yuzu
"U-um...yeah and uh...you are?" Yuzu asked
"Kenia Kouske and you?" Kenia asked
"Yuzu Okogi" Yuzu said
"Nice to meet you Okogi-san now back to the topic...she asked you to be her friend?!" Kenia exclaimed
"Calm down Kouske-san" Phila said
"It's just that no student is able to be friends with her or get a close relationship with her" Kenia said
"It looks like you're the first one" Phila said
"I guess..." Yuzu said and kept eating. After lunch Yuzu headed back to her class but spotted Mei and a man
"Mei...I miss you. I need you" The man said
"Ugh I told you for the last time. We are done. Don't talk to me. Don't text me. Don't call me. Don't show up to my house every night. Just leave me alone" Mei said sternly
"Mei...I promise that if you give me this chance. I'll make you the happiest woman ever. Just please give me this chance...please...I beg you" The man pleaded. Mei just glared at him and walked away
"Like I said. Leave. Me. Alone" Mei said while walking away. Yuzu immediately went inside the classroom not wanting to be seen by them or else they would think she's a spy. Yuzu sat down and tried to look calm. Mei walked in the classroom and sighed deeply
"Alright class please take out your notebooks. We'll be taking just a few notes" Mei said. Yuzu looked out and saw the man who Mei talked to. He looked truly upset. That's when he looked up and noticed Yuzu staring at him. Yuzu looked away and pretended like nothing happened.
