Two become One

Chapter 19

As Midoriya and Shinso's fight begins. It seems that Shinso had said something to anger Midoriya for he comes running towards him only to halt mid-way from starting an attack. "Hey hey, whats the matter?" Mic comments. "It's the important first match. Liven things up!" Midoriya seemed almost in a dazed. I noticed that All Might wasn't next to me so I figured he was watching somewhere close by. "Midoriya! The match just started and he's completely frozen?! He's got a blank look on his face and he isn't moving a muscle. Is this Shinso's quirk?! He didn't stand out at all, but could he actually be someone amazing?"

"Hitoshi Shinso from general studies. Has gotten the better of Izuku Midoriya from hero course! Who would've imagined it! Will the bottom really overthrow the top?" Mic says with a gasp look on his face. "That's why I said the entrance exam wasn't rational." Shota says. I stare up at their little announcer booth. "Huh?" Mic says looking at Shota. "Here's some basic data on the two of them. Since it's individual matches from here on out, I had someone compile it for me. Shinso failed the practical exam for the hero course. Since he also applied for general studies, he probably knew that would happen. His quirk is very powerful, but the practical exam consisted of fighting faux villains. That gave an advantage to those with physical attack quirks. Shinso wouldn't have been able to rank up any points with his quirk." Shota explains and then stares at me which then gives me an idea on what this kid's quirk was.

"My quirk wasn't able to help me during our entrance exams. Luckily I knew some fighting skills to quirk it all out to still make it to the hero course, but he doesn't quiet have my quirk, but still close enough."I think to myself as Midoriya slowly turns around and starts walking towards the out of bounds lines. "Huh?" Mic says again. "What?! Midoriya is being so obedient!" Mic comments which then had the people gasping and stun. Closer and closer Midoriya went but just before his first foot landing past the land. Midoriya quickly used his fingers to snap out of the trance. The snap was hard enough that wind was blowing from the arena. "Midoriya stopped!!" Mic yells. The crowd stand sup and cheers. Shinso seemed surprised. Midoriya comes running towards Shinso as Shinso tries to make Midoriya talk again.

Midoriya grabs hold of Shinso and pushes him towards out of bounds. Shinso punches him but it doesn't stop Midoriya. Shinso punches Midoriya's fingers that broke when he got out of his trance and tries to push Midoriya out one last time, but Midoriya grabs Shinso and flips him over to land out of bounds. "Shinso is out of bounds!" Midnight says holding her arm up. "Midoriya advances to the next round. The crowd cheers as the first match is now over. "Yahoo! That was a kind of boring first match, but we should praise them both for a bravely fought match." Mic says. "Says the one who made everyone deaf for his matches in our sports festival." I say in my head. The next match was between Todoroki and Sero. Todoroki ended that match in under a matter of seconds!

He had created a huge ice glacier that took over half of the whole entire stadium! Everyone felt pretty bad for Sero not having a chance at fighting, but just the talent and skill Todoroki had to make that glacier is enough for him to get more internships to many agencies. Next was Kaminari and Shiozaki which ended up with Kaminari using too much spark and being unable to continue on with the match. Ilda's fight against support student Hatsume was next, but I wouldn't really call it a fight. More like a sales person show. She took up a whole entire 10 minutes of showing her gadgets to the business support companies here. It was a true "betrayal" from Ilda's side that she forfeited the match after she was done showing off all of her babies she called them. "Your student must be proud in showing off the support company what she can do power loader." I said to him. He did his creepy laugh and nodded.

As the matches continued on Mina did a great job at defecting Aoyama, and Yaoyorozu I felt a bit bad that her self esteem might of been hurt by not doing much for her fight against Tokoyami. "It does seem to take her a bit of time in trying to make something and if she doesn't focus on it she can't create it quick enough." I think to myself. Next was Kirishima and Tetsutetsu which are both hardening quirks but one is kind of like rock and the other is iron. During their battle I had left the teachers area to go to the bathroom. The bathrooms were near the waiting room of Uraraka. I didn't mean to overhear the conversation she and Midoriya and Ilda were all having. "Well, I don't think Bakugo would go full strength on a  girl." Ilda said. "He would." Midoriya said. "Everyone is trying to achieve there dream. No one would even think about not giving it their all." Midoriya explains. "You have helped me a lot Uraraka.  That's why I thought maybe I could help you a little. A plan to use your quirk against Kacchan." Midoriya then holds up a burned notebook. "It's rough, but I came up with something." "Oh! Isn't that great Uraraka?" Ilda says.
