The beginning of school is always so much fun. I find what teacher I have and I get to see my friends again. But I also know that the older kids in my family do not see it the same way I do. They see it as the end of the summer I see it at the beginning of the school year.

On the first day of school I get my new backpack on with all these new school supplies and Lucy walks me to the bus. Lucy tells me to have an amazing day but also looks at me in a way that reminds me how freaked out everyone has been over the past two weeks. But I got on the bus and I got to school and I have an amazing day just like I knew I would, I see my friends again and I fall back into my regular school routine without a hitch. The next time I go to see my family I don't get the same impression they did on their first day. It seems that while I was having an amazing time at the start of my school. It was not the same for the rest of the pack. With Olivia stressed out over some of her final years in high school and Skylar freaking out about boy issues. Not to mention the countless other things that have been happening involving Ace and his antics. He's been getting up to a lot of trouble because it turns out that he is quite the troublemaker. Don't let that smile convince you otherwise.

According to Willow, this happens a lot in almost every school he goes to. Because he has gotten to a point where he doesn't think he will stay in one place for long enough for it to matter. Willow being the youngest like me tells me things that the others won't. She remembers what it was like not getting information that grown-ups and the older kids did. I guess Willow's case was different. Because she was only four and I'm eight. But still, it's nice that she tells me things when she can. I still don't get everything. I know I don't. But I get a lot more from Willow than anyone else. (12/25/18)
