In the morning Six came to. The boy around Raven's age, named Alex, automatically started making her soup as the rest of the kids stood around eating oatmeal. Everyone except the oldest girl, Peyton. Sam, the older boy, told Theo and Sky that Six was supposed to bring in the groceries yesterday. Six started talking to Theo and Sky about how they were doing. Being the people they are and the kids of their parents they automatically asked about her. She gave a small shrug. Saying it was worth it to get the other kids out. They put fresh gauze around Sixes middle and helped her into one of the seats. Alex put the soup in front of her and began to clean the table.  Eli made a joke that they would need more chairs that got a little laugh from the kids but Six made a mental note instead. When Eli said that Theo began to notice the chairs. Each of them was different from the others. Most of them damaged in some way. The table didn't seem bad though. Considering they have had it for at least as long as Peyton has been there, eight years. As Theo thought about Peyton, Sky asked about her.

"She is having a gone day," May told Sky.

"A gone day?" Sky asked.

"It's what we call it when she doesn't get out of bed. One time she went to the bathroom in her bed." Eli said.

"She has been here a long time. Longer than I have. She is a little depressed so we give a day every now and then where she can just stay up there. Alex or Sam brings her some food and makes her eat and use the bathroom but that's it." Six told Theo and Sky.

"How often are you in here Six?" Theo asked.

"Almost every night. The room upstairs is much quieter than my room. Sometimes I am able to get here in time for dinner. That's normally when I bring in the groceries for these guys. I guess you guys now." Six told him.

"That reminds me. Thank you." Sky told her.

"Thank me? What for? getting you stuck in here?" Six laughed.

"No," Theo told her. "Thank you for getting our family out."

Six smiled at him. The kind of smile that allowed him to see her heart. How much she wished she had gotten him out, gotten all of them out.

"So anyway why are you guys all here anyway? What do they think you are?" Sky asked.

"Have you guys heard about that guy from like 20 years ago? Um... Seth Arena." Sam asked.

Sky and Theo looked at each other.

"What?" Alex asked.

"Guys. Meet Theo. Theo Arena." Six told them.

Ship One. Nothing.

Boat Two. Nothing.

Freighter Three. Drugs but, no kids.

Barge Four. Nothing.

Yacht Five. Nothing, unless someone was looking for a bunch of 20-year-olds in bathing suits even though it's October.

And so they kept looking. And looking. As the time closed on 24 hours everyone began to get nervous. The first day is the most important and most likely to be able to find them. More boats. Wider coverage. (2/6/19)
