Raven

Skylar slept for about an hour before she came down and ate leftover pizza cold. She was in her old band T-shirt from the year before I moved here and flannel pants. She turned around and saw us. 

"What?" She asked us.

"Well, are you gonna tell us what happened after we left?" Ace asked.

"Not right now. Right now I am going to eat this pizza. Dress in my own clothes. And then we are going back to the hospital and I am going to sit with Theo till he wakes up." Skylar told us.

I went upstairs with her and asked her again about the past three days. She said to me that she didn't want to go over it again and that she would tell me it when she was ready.

"No yeah ok but what happened between you and Theo?" I asked her.

"We were born only months apart. And for the first six years of our lives, I thought it was going to be the two of us. Unable to be more than just us. But then I found my bird, found that I was more.  And then. Last night. I found out he was more then I thought."

"You like him?" I asked her.

She nodded.

"Good. You guys would be so cute together." I told her.

"Thank you?" She said to me.

"Girls! Are you ready?" I heard my mum call for us.

"Just a second!" I told her as Skylar finished getting ready. "Ready Skylar?" 

"Yeah and uh... call me Sky."

I found myself spinning the ring on my finger as we pulled into the hospital parking lot. It was strange to think that this was the hospital that Willow was in all those years ago. This was the hospital my Mum found her brother. This was where Matt escaped Seth. Where they all escaped from Seth. 

We walked in and made our way to the floor Apollo was being held on. They pointed Sky, Ace, and me to the waiting room on the floor and something happened that I had never experienced before. Something that my Mum discovered at a similar age but had experienced multiple times since. 

My hand heated up. I grabbed my mum's hand for a second before following Sky. She looked at me and her face was exactly as I felt. She hadn't met anyone since I was born. Let alone since we were in the states. I did my best to hide it from everyone and other than Amber and my Mum. No one saw. 

We walked into the waiting room and found why my ring was heating up. Sky hugged them and smiled a sad smile. She asked if their family had come but none had yet. I reached out and shook the hand of a boy my age. The heat spiked and quickly lessened. I was told his name was Alex and that he indeed was my age. The ring was still warm in my hand.

"Peyton!" I heard a familiar voice call out. Emma Sawyer ran into the room and clung to her sister before Peyton could figure out what was happening. (2/16/19)
