"I had a little sister. In another life." Peyton said out loud. To no one in particular.
"What was her name?" I asked stroking her hair.
"Emma. She was three the last time I saw her." Peyton answered. She rolled over and I brushed the hair down her back. On her neck a birthmark that looked like California.
"I have a sister too. I actually have two sisters. And a brother." I smiled as I thought of my family. "I have a big family. The six of us. My parents had best friends growing up. They are basically my cousins now. There were eight of us until the beginning of summer. Then Ace came and joined us."
"Do you think we will ever be found?" Alex asked me. "I have a family to get back to as well."
"It's my family. The ones who took down Seth Arena. You will see your family again. You will see Emma."

After convincing Peyton downstairs I was pulling some food together for lunch. My dad didn't know how to cook anything for most of his life, so when I was around five and he needed to know how to cook for me and my siblings we both started learning. Of course, I didn't do everything. I would do simple stuff like washing the potatoes and whatnot. As I got older though I started to do more of the recipe. After ten years I know how to do a lot so I made what I could with what I had. Six managed to bring us some fresh produce so I was able to make a salad and saw most of the ingredients for spaghetti sauce. I think I will make that for dinner with whatever salad is leftover. I made a sandwich for Peyton and me, with the help of Alex to know what she normally eats. I made her eat it before she could go upstairs. She was not happy about it but she managed it all down before I let her go back to bed.
I started The only book in this place. It's a book about a book which I think is funny. It's called 'Between The Lines' and how while books are closed the characters live in the pages and at the places, the author wrote about. It's pretty good honestly.

The gang was impressed by my cooking that night. I mean noodles are not hard to make and I have memorized recipes for sauce and know what will taste good. It's not hard to make spaghetti. I used the leftover salad from lunch and mixed it with some more vegetables to get something healthy into these kids. Who knows what they eat while they have been here.
