The door slammed and shook the house. I closed my eyes, cringing at what happened. I heard Aunt Red sigh.
"Amethyst. Why don't you go get dressed." Aunt Saundra told me. I swallowed and slid off the stool.
I wasn't fully up the stairs when they started talking.
"You okay Red?" Saundra asked.
"She is right." I heard her say. "I haven't told her anything. Not even about her dad."
"Who is her dad?" Saundra asked.
"Do you remember my first real boyfriend?" I heard Red say.
"Yeah. The one you met at the end of Seth's trial." Saundra says.
"Yeah. James." Red said. "But we broke up and I left for England before I found out."
"And you never told her about her father?" Saundra asked.
"She never said anything. Not even as a child." Red told her. "I don't know maybe I should tell her about James."
"Do you know where he is now?" Saundra asked. There was a long moment of silence. "You have seen him since you got back! Oh my god, Red you really have to tell her now."
"I know I know. I will as soon as we get Skylar and Theo back." Red said. I heard her start walking to the stairs and ran up the rest of the way.

I was just hitting the last step of the stairs when the phone rang. Uncle Jake lunged at it and I held my breath. I mean after all, who would be calling at 7 in the morning. My stomach tied in a knot.
"This is Jake Arena." Uncle Jake said into the phone. "Yes. Yes. I understand."
There was a long pause. I could see Jake swallow.
"I understand." Jake hung up. "Saundra! Get your coat!"
Amber walked into the house. Calling for Jake and Saundra.
"Red. Go get the kids from the high school and bring them back here." Jake told her. "Thomas or Lucy get Logan and Alice."
Amber, Matt, Jake, and Saundra left.
"Did they find them?" I asked.
