It's about two weeks from the beginning of my junior year. Apollo and Connor's foster kid is coming today. We were supposed to meet them tomorrow but something made my parents call them over today. Uncle Cole got here first though and I was happy to see him in high spirits.
"My nieces and nephew! Nice to see you! Pack kids! How are you guys! Excited about school?" Cole turned as he walked past us inside. He came to a stop in front of Raven and even from behind I saw his confusion.
"Hi. I am Raven. Red's secret daughter. You must be Cole right?" Raven looked unfazed. It was weird to think that mom's family didn't know about Raven still.
"I am. Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised with this family anymore." Uncle Cole gave a chuckle and walked past Raven up the front steps and into the house.
"Do you guys know why they called Connor and Apollo here?" Annie asked.
"It must be serious whatever it is," Theo stated.
"It's probably about shifting. My dad has been so restrictive about it since Aunt Red and Raven got here." Amethyst.
"Shh... That's their car." I told them as Apollo pulled up.
"Hey guys," Connor said. "This is Ace and his older sister Autumn."
Apollo barely looked at us as he basically ran inside. And Connor was fast to join him.
"Hi, guys. I will be going to school with you this fall." Ace said.
"Hi Ace, Autumn. Welcome to our weird little family. I'm Olivia, the oldest. That's my brother Theo." Olivia said shaking hands with them.
"I'm Skylar. Those are my sisters Annie and Alice. And my little brother Logan. That one is Amethyst. And our newest addition from across the water Raven." I said. We get it, Olivia, you are the oldest but you are not in charge.
"Wow, that's a lot to remember." Autumn joked.
"So how old are you guys?" Alice asked eyeballing Ace.
"I'm 14 but Autumn is 21 and won't be living here." Ace said. I saw Alice get a bit sad figuring that Ace will be a year too old for her. And I see where she is coming from he has beautifully colored skin with light hair and grey eyes.
"Guys you need to..." Cole started but was quickly distracted and stared at Autumn. She was also very beautiful. With long dark hair, one side braided back had the same skin and eye color as her brother.
"Don't mind my uncle." I jumped up. "Cole this is Autumn and Ace. Ace will be staying with Apollo and Connor."
"Right. Yeah." Cole seemed entranced with Autumn.
"Cole!" Willow shouted from the door. She looked scared and quickly came outside to rush us into the house. Olivia, Theo, Raven, and I were pulled aside into the small room they had converted into a library as the rest went into the living room.
"What's going on Mom?" Olivia asked Aunt Saundra.
"What we are about to tell you is not to leave this room ok?" my Dad stated.
"Ok..." the four of us said each a little confused.
"Especially not Autumn," Red said.
"Red discovered that some details we keep secret about this family have been leaked." Jake started. My stomach dropped to the floor. "Because of this and with Ace now staying with Apollo and Connor we have agreed that no one will be shifting outside of their own room till further notice. In order to try to keep us safe."
