So once again we were known as that guy's grandkids. Well technically I'm not his granddaughter and technically Theo and I are not Cousins really the only people in the second-gen who are cousins are Theo and Olivia with Raven. But there We were. Standing in a kitchen with five kids who looked at us like we were damaged. Which by the way we weren't. And more likely neither were our parents. The only thing Seth managed to do was create a family. While at the same time destroying families.
"Well...um that's awkward," May says sliding out of her seat and washing her bowl in the sink.
"It's ok I'm only related to him by blood and she not related to him at all," Theo told them. "But so then you must be accused of the same thing we are."
"Yeah. Supposedly I can turn into some animal which by the way someone should have told me earlier." Sam laughed.
"Yeah, I feel that," I said laughing to myself.
"No, wait. Imagine it." Theo got fake serious. "The wind beneath your wings or the saltwater on your scales."
All of us laughed. Even Six for a second before stopping herself because of her back.
"So tell us how this works," I said.
"Well at random intervals they come in and have tests done to us. At each port, we are allowed to walk around the other parts of the boat. I like to bake and cook. Peyton teaches some stuff to May and Eli sometimes helps May with cleaning because this place gets real nasty real fast and they don't do anything." Alex pointed to the corner.
"Is there a camera over there or something?" I ask
"Yeah, It doesn't have any blind spots. Trust me we tested it. But there is no camera in the bathroom or upstairs. We don't really notice it anymore." Alex said.
I did a small nod.
"So what do we do today?" Theo asked.
"Well, it would probably be nice if Sky helped with Peyton because I think she would feel more comfortable because you are a girl and, or, like whatever. I am going to change the bedsheets because we need to do that and Ryan should come and collect us at some point in the next few days." Sam says. " You can help May and Eli with school work?"
"Yeah of course," Theo told him.
With that Alex, Sam, and I went upstairs. It was much darker than I remember it being this morning. Sam walked over to Peyton's bed and rubbed her back. He told her that I was going to sit with her today while he changed the bedsheets. She rolled over and looked at me. I gave her a small smile and she receded into her comforter.
"Don't worry about her she will be fine," Alex told me as we crawled onto her bed. He pulled her head so that it lays in his lap and started to brush the hair away from her face.
"So now that we are alone. No camera to listen to us. Is it true?" I asked him.
"Is what true?" Alex asked.
"That you can turn into like animals or something," I told him.
"I don't know Sky. Is it?" Alex looked at me. (2/7/19)
