Austin's POV

My body froze. There was Buck, behind the counter rummaging through the register, with a tall man wearing all black and a ski mask, holding a gun to him. Dallas and I were both just standing there, not knowing what to do. I slowly walked closer and closer to Dallas as he grabbed my hand.

"Stop moving!" the guy yelled at us and pulled out another gun. Now he had one pointed to Buck behind the counter, and one pointed to Dallas and I in the middle of the room. I didn't know what to do.

"Broad, come here." he demanded. I was shocked and didn't know what to do. No one did.

"Over my dead body." Dallas said stepping in front of me. No. This is my nightmare. He's trying to protect me, by getting killed.

"That can be arranged." I heard him say with that click. That click that signifies he could pull the trigger at any moment and Dallas would be gone. I slowly stepped from behind Dally and started walking towards the guy slowly.

"Atta girl." he said yanking my arm and putting me in a choke whole. It wasn't tight, but I couldn't move. I felt a metal ring touch the top of my head. This is it. He's going to shoot and I'll be gone.

"I swear..." I heard Dally say as he started to walk towards us. The guy hurriedly pointed to gun towards Dallas.

"No. Please. Don't shoot him. Dallas, please stop moving. I told you, I'm not worth it. Look I love you, but save yourself." I pleaded as a tear ran down my face and I silently cried. He stopped for a second with a sympathetic yet shocked look on his face.

"Give me the money or you can watch all of the blood flow out of your little girlfriends head." he threatened pointing the gun back against my head. Dally slowly backed away as I heard another click.

"Put her down!" I heard a familiar voice shout. Buck. I forgot he was here. The robber must have too, which gave him time to pull out a gun. I felt relieved but still scared at the same time. I was definitely shaking. He turned towards Buck, pulling me with him. Buck had a gun pointed straight at the robber. He was so distracted that I had time to move. I quickly grabbed both guns out his hands, twisting out of his grasp, now in front of him pointing them at him.

"If you're going to rob a store and threaten someone with guns, you might want to pay attention to your guns. Just a tip." I snarled at him.

"Now you're going to take off your mask, then put your hands in the air, and kneel on the floor. Dallas go call the cops. Buck, help me keep an eye on this bastard after putting all the money back in the register." I demanded. Everyone did as said while I watched the man carefully take off his mask and kneel.

I had no idea who this man was, he had dark brown hair, green eyes, and a chizzled face with a little scruff of a beard. When I looked in his eyes there was nothing there. No soul, no heart, no feelings, nothing at all to show he was a real person. I don't understand how people can be so evil and not even care.

"Police are on there way. Way to save us and handle everything." Dally said while walking in.

"Thanks." I said not taking my eyes of the robber. First rule of this kind of stuff; don't let your guard down. Experience.

"And you. I have something for you." he said pointing to the man on the ground. Before I could even respond or stop anything he had punched him in the face, and tackled him to the ground.

"God damnit Dallas! Can't you just let me handle this?!" I yelled at him. They kept fighting, and let me tell you, it was about a 50/50 fight. The robber was bigger, but Dallas was stronger. No matter how much Buck and I yelled at them to stop nothing happened. So I took it upon myself to handle this... like always. I aimed one of the guns at one of the old couches. The gun fired and stunned everyone. Dallas and the guy were frozen on the ground looking around, searching for what was shot. I took that as my chance to pull Dallas away and shove him to Buck while I dealt with the other guy.

"Damn. You sure can break up a fight. Could you find any other way to give me a heart attach. I thought you got shot." he exclaimed.

"Well if you would have listened, I wouldn't have had to pull the trigger to get your attention." I was annoyed. Why can't he just leave things the way they are?

"Hey! I don't need you sassing me! I'm your guardian now, and you're going to respect me!" he shouted at me, Buck still holding on to him.

"Yes, dad." I said pissed. He thinks that just because I got sent here and he's my 'guardian', he can treat me like shit. Let's find out how good that turns out. Let's see how long that's going to last. Let's see who wins in the end, and who's the one without the only person believing in them.

Sirens broke my concentration staring at Dallas. About 5 cops walk in the bar, guns at the ready. When they saw the robber on the ground, still somewhat beaten form my brother, they looked shocked. They picked him up off the ground and put him in cuffs. They also pulled Dallas and Buck aside to be questioned. One officer came up and snatched one of the guns out of my hands. They must not have seen that I had two, because they walked away after that. I casually walked upstairs to my room, to hide he gun. Just in case one day I need it, it's there. I quickly walked back downstairs, so that no one suspected anything. Just then Dallas walked up to me.

"Once this place gets cleared of all the cops, we're heading to the Curtis's, so go get dressed." he said walking back to the cop that just called him over. I walked upstairs and straight into my room. I started to rummage through my clothes, finding a pair of shorts, tank top, and heading into Dallas's room grabbing one of his flannels. I quickly laced up my sneakers and necklace. Also changing my earrings to random studs and putting my hair in a pony tail. When I headed back downstairs the place was cleared out.

"Ready?" Dallas asked me.

"Yeah."

"Is that my shirt?"

"No it's mine now. Get used to it, I like to steel cloths, especially boys clothes that are too big for me." And with that we starting to walk.
