It's What I'm Left With!
It could be you didn't like me
watching from your garden
It could be my presence
did annoy
It could be your behaviour
drew my interest
Well it did . . .
that I won't deny
It could be I should not
have stayed to eavesdrop
It could be I should not
have tried to hide
It could be your words
were not my business
But I find it inexcusable
here in this quiet place
That your first response would be
an egg thrown in my face!
