The colour pallet
I stared out of the window.
Watching the world go by.
I saw a girl whose face flushed pink
As her man kissed her and winked.
There was a couple red with rage
Maybe they weren't on the same page.
A boy walked by sporting a black eye
I wonder if he'll tell the truth or justify it with a lie.
I see a woman who looks kind of blue
She's shivering because of the cold wind that blew.
Two people crossed paths and suddenly paused and paled
In hiding the shock and recognition, they probably failed.
Looking at these people I can only think
Why do we discriminate on colour, in a world
Where we all are colour pallets within ourselves.
Please cover me with flowers
If the society can't accept a colorful face
Because eventually,
It is the death of the human race.
