Precious Words
I sent my words out into the world
Without a second thought
Set them free, let them roam
In the begining they were bold, magnificent
They found the beauty and sent it back to me
A roadmap of moons and stars, flowers and lovers
Then a betrayal
The words stopped coming back to me
Led me astray, alone in the gloom
I wanted to keep them, but they wanted to go
So I set them free, my precious words
Well who could blame anyway?
