She Was The Moon
She was the moon
Amid the garden
The guiding light
The regal pillar
Of fortitude
Guarding my days
And nights...
She was the face
Of solace
In the darkness
Bright....
Shining her beam
Maternal smile
Planting roses
In stony hearts
Lulling my fears
Wiping my tears
Making things right
Until one day
Her roses wilted
Her colors melted
Fighting the fight
Her smile stayed
A faded shade
Painted her skin
A tainted white
Phase after phase
Her eyes dimmed
Her body slimmed
Her tresses thinned
The last fortnight
She was the moon
Until one noon
She lost her fight
