Your life had always been somewhat sheltered, you supposed.

It wasn't your parents faults, that's just what happens when you live in the north. News is slow so can be easily filtered. And your parents definitely took advantage of that. Which is why you leaped and the chance to escape and get into the heart of the action.

A joust was being held today and you were so excited to go. You knew that you were acting like your younger sister, Sansa, but you couldn't help it. This was the most exciting thing that had happened to you in ages. And you would finally have a chance to meet a lot of people, more than just those that came near your chambers.

I haven't even gotten the chance to meet my betrothed yet. King Robert decided that one of the men that guards his prince Joffery deserved a reward, which was you. You were to old to be wed to the young prince, but Sansa was the perfect age. The only way for that to happen was if you also had a marriage, so you got stuck with some man that your father refused to let you see. He was so worried that he barely let you leave your chambers.

"I'm so excited," Sansa says from the other side of your father.

"Can I meet you in there?" you ask your dad, pulling up on his arm to make him look at you.

"What could you possibly need to do in the first five seconds of us arriving here?" You look up at him with big puppy dog eyes.

"I just want to look around. I will be back before anything actually gets started." He sighs as he nods his head.

"Don't do anything you know your not supposed to."

"Thank you," you squeal, kissing his cheek before skipping away. You are somewhat surprised that he let you go that easily, but decide to just make the most of it.

You walk around and look at all of the colorful tents, men getting ready for their turn in the joust. Men and women are walking around and laughing loudly, children running in the small gaps between people. Everyone has smiles on their faces and it brings a smile to yours. You were always the sort of person to take on the mood of whoever was around you, but this joyful feeling was one of your favorites.
Suddenly you hit something hard and begin to fall, to shocked to even try to catch yourself. But strong hands grab onto your hips before you land. You look up and see Sander Clegane, the hound.

He pulls you up so you are standing. You can feel you cheeks heating up and you start cussing in your head and at your stupid reaction to a man that you haven't even met before.

"I am so sorry," you finally manage to get out.

"Fucking watch where your walking," he replies, his voice gruff. His hands leave your hips and you can't help but feel sad for some reason, wishing that you couldn't still feel them on you.

"That's a good idea, I might have to try it." You look up and see him trying to hide a smirk. You slowly start backing up. "I should get going, I'm sure my dad and sister are wondering where I am."

"You a Stark?" You nod your head, licking your lips which seem to suddenly be very dry. "Best if I take you there, might stop watching where your walking."

He walks over to you as you turn around, putting his hand on the small of your back. People move out of the way as you walk along, staring at Sandor more than you, probably because of his face.

Its not that bad, his face that is. The stories of him made it sound so terrible, that you couldn't even see any details of what had been on that side of his face. It didn't seem like that at all to you, and in all honesty he seemed fairly nice.

"Why are you walking me their?"
"I have to go anyways," is his vague reply. You glance up at him, seeing no emotion in his face at all.

"Doesn't mean you have to walk me. I'm not a damsel in distress."

"Doesn't fucking matter. Soon it will be my job to look after you anyways."

"What are you talking about?"

"Go sit." He pushes you gently to a set of stairs that leads to where your dad and sister are sitting. You walk up the stairs but as you sit next to Sansa you watch him. He goes to stand next to the royal family, behind Joffery to be exact.

You lean in front of Sansa and nudge your dads legs. He gives you a small smile as he puts his hand on yours.

"Why is Clegane standing with the royal family?" He sighs, looking down.

"He is prince Joffery's guard," Sansa speaks up. You sit up straight.

"He's him, isn't he? The man I am to marry?" He sighs loudly while Sansa looks at her hands on her lap.

"Yes." You feel anger begin to form in you chest, but the events start and it takes all of your willpower not to stand up and yell at him.

Your not sure how long you sit there in that state, but you suddenly realize that there is some big commotion going on between Silas and the older Clegane. Sandor stands between them, giving his brother's a stern look before he stalks away.

You stand suddenly, walking away from the stands and back to the tents. You find a barrel in between two tents and sit in top of it, putting your head in your hands.

You wished your dad would have just told you who you were going to marry. You had only that small interaction with him, but Sandor seems like a decent man. That is much better than can be said of a lot men.

"What the hell are ya doing?" You look up at the voice to see your future husband standing in front of you.

"What the fuck does it look like?"

"I didn't know Stark let his daughters cuss."

"He doesn't. But does it really matter?"  He steps closer to you until he is standing right in front of you. You stood up your bodies would be pressed against each other.

"You should get back."

"I can't look at my father right now."

"How do you plan on getting back then?"

"If I have to, I will walk." He grabs your arm and pulls you off of the barrel, his cold metal armor pressing against your chest.

"Lets go." He shows no sign of moving though, the two of you just standing and staring at each others faces.

"I knew," you whisper, so softly that you aren't sure if he even heard you.

"Fuckin' knew what?"

"That there was something different about you. The moment I looked at your face after you saved me from falling, I knew."

I'm so sorry it has been a while, but it may be like this again. I just moved into my dorm, and classes are going to be challenging to get the hang of again, but I will update when I can!
