These stupid caves were driving you crazy. Not just the caves, it was everything really. Not being let out of the caves, the echoing of the caves, being surrounded by a ton of men that haven't seen a woman other than you in ages.

It was fine at first, the brotherhood without banners helped you when you needed it most. You had almost died, your house had been set on fire by some angry drunk men while you were sleeping. You woke when it was too late to try to stop it but you managed to get out. You can still smell it now though, your flesh burning. The scars on your legs didn't help.

It took ages to heal and even now if you moved a certain way some of the new skin would rip because it was so thin. You were grateful for Beric and his men, you were, but you hadn't expected this to be how your life would end up. Stuck in these caves cooking for men that hit on you more and more.

Today was turning out to be interesting though. Sandor Clegane had been captured and was doing a trial by combat. You weren't watching the fight though. Beric would set his sword on fire and you didn't want to see that, you had enough trouble cooking food over the fire as it was. But here you were, cooking food over a fire in case Sandor won the fire. It was the excuse you needed to make extra.

Soon you hear everyone stop cheering, meaning that Sandor did win and killed Beric. You rush and put the food into to satchels, grabbing the robe that someone had given to you a while ago. You run to the exit and quickly slip out since know one is paying attention. They are more interested in what is going on with the fighting.

You hide behind a tree in case some of the men lead him out. You hug the bags to you and try to not move. He comes storming out, his armor clanking. You wait for a second to make sure no one is following him out before stepping out. He turns when he hears the bushes and pulls out his sword.

"Please don't," you say softly.

"What's a girl like ya doin' out here?" He puts his sword back in its sheath and turns to his horse.

"I made food. For you to take with you." He turns and looks at you. You walk over to him slower than you would have liked. You haven't been able to walk the same since the fire because of the burns.

"Why?"

"I want to go with you. Just till we pass a tavern or something. I don't want to be here anymore."

"Just go. Your already out, you can just walk away now."

"I can't. I don't know where we are. And I can't walk that far."

"You have two legs." You scoff, putting the satchels on the ground and pulling up your skirts so your scars are visible.

"I can't walk far. Happened a few moons ago maybe, I don't know how long I've been here so I don't really know. But still fresh enough that doing too much makes them rip open."

"Try'n make me pity you," he asks.

"No. Just let me go with you for even days. I just need to get away from here." He turns back to a black horse that you assume is his. "Please."

"Come here," he commands gruffly. You pick up the satchels and move closer to him. He grabs them from you and puts them in the saddle bag before suddenly lifting you up and placing you on the horse, surprisingly gently.  He climbs on behind you, reaching around you to grab the reigns and cocooning him in your arms.

"Thank you." He grunts in response.

-----

It's been a few weeks since and Sandor started traveling. The Brotherhood hasn't caught up with you yet, despite the fact that Arya is now with you. Sandor went off to take a piss one evening and came back with her and then they had to keep moving. Its brought some challenges, having her with you.

You only packed enough food for two people to last a week, maybe two if eaten in really small portions. That ran out very quickly and now Sandor hunts after setting up camp and you and Arya gather some berries if there are any around. Some times you go fishing but that doesn't usually pan out.

It also complicates things with the horse. Only one other person fits on Strangers back with Sandor. He doesn't trust Arya to not run away and you can't walk that far yet. Sandor usually ends up walking Stranger with Arya sitting in front of you. You feel so bad about it all, you did only tell him it would be a week or two at the most until you found a inn or village, but now it's been a few weeks. It's partly why you haven't told him or Arya about your legs.

You slowly sit down by the stream, looking around to make sure neither of them are near before gently lifting your skirts. It's something about the riding that you hadn't expected, how much your legs would be rubbing against the horse. Your scars are enflamed and it's painful to touch them, sometimes the skin breaks and you bleed a bit.

You wipe a tear that escapes before focusing on the task at hand. You grab the cloth sitting next to you and dip it in the water, wringing it out. You can't bring yourself to scrub your legs but you clean the dirt off the rest of your body that's exposed. The bushes start rustling and Sandor and Arya come to the stream.

Arya pauses when she sees your legs, giving you a confused look, before going a little ways aways up the stream. You feel Sandor's eyes on you from the spot that he stopped moving and pull your skirts down to hide it. You start rubbing your face with the cloth but soon hear him approaching you.

"How long?"

"I don't know what your talking about," you reply turning away from him.

"How long ya legs been like that."

"Burned? I don't know, I was told I was passed out for a few weeks after it happened."

"Not that. Tha red and swollen part. How long they been like that?"

"A long time. Before I ran away with you."

"Didn't look like that when you showed me that day." He hadn't ever mentioned that until this moment and it makes you sigh.

"It's nothing. I'll be fine in the morning." He sits down next to you but you refuse to look at him and you know he isn't looking at you.

"No ya won't."

"I will be," you scoff, only to then scream in pain when he grabs you leg suddenly. Arya looks up but quickly turns away again.

"No ya won't."

"Fine, I won't be." You wipe the fresh tears that are flowing down your face. "But there isn't much to do about it. Once we find a place I can work at it won't matter anyways."

"Course it will. I'll figure something out for ya."

"Sandor, there is nothing you can do. I can't walk for hours so the only option is for me to ride."

"I'm not going ta let ya be in pain anymore. Should a told me."

"Why do you care anyways? It's not like you expected to be having to drag me along with you."

"Your growing on me." With that he stands up and walks away, leaving you more confused than ever before.
