The drive from Forks high school to Jake's house felt like it lasted forever, but it gave me a chance to clear my head and organize what I was going to say to him.
There was so much that I wanted to ask him, question him about and demand why he had lied to me after we both promised that we'd be honest with one another. After all the shit my sister went through with...Edward you'd think Jake would want to keep me close and tell me everything, but I guess not.
I knew that he wanted to protect me from...them, but if my sister was involved then so was I. As much as she pissed me off too I was going to be there for her no matter what. Bella was my only sibling that I had, and I was not about to let her slip away from me.
Pulling up to Jake's I let out a flustered sigh and pulled my hair back into a long braid then slung my bag over my shoulder and slammed the car door shut. His houses had not changed much since I had last been here. Same barn red paint with white doors and window frames. I smiled slightly at its charm just as two figured came into mu view. A boy and a girl both daker skinned with black hair. Looked like they could have been siblings to me. The boy seemed to be the younger of the two waved to me and raced over.
As he approached me he smiled and held out his hand for me. "Alex, right?" He guessed correctly. I nodded my head which moved my braid to the front of me. Then I reached out and grabbed his hand while shaking it.
"Jake talks about you all the time". He added. The mention of his name made my heart clench up. It had been so long since I had seen him and now I was so close to seeing him...and yet I was still torn.
"Are you two both-"
"Yup. Were werewolves". The boy said answering my question for me. The female rolled her eyes and started off for the woods behind my car.
"I'm Seth by the way and that's my bossy sister, Leah". Seth said pointing off to the girl. She didn't dare turn her back towards us as she morphed into a light gray wolf and took off into the dark woods.
Even though it had been almost a month since I had found out what Jake was I was still getting used to seeing these tan guys and now girls turn into bear sized wolves that just roamed around the town of Forks. It seemed so unreal and yet here it was. Happening right in front of my face.
"So, here to see Jake I take it". Seth suggested knocking me out of my trance. I nodded my head as I readjusted my bag.
"I guess. Just hope it isn't too much for me". I whispered under my breath. Seth could clearly hear me as he glanced over his shoulder as he led me into the house.
"Jake told me what happened". Seth said going straight for Jake's fridge. "To be honest id probably react the same way that you would". He added handing me a soda. I faked a smile and leaned up against the sink. Maybe he was just saying that to make me feel better, but I wasn't so sure. Everything had been so much more similar when I didn't move to Forks. No crappy weather, no werewolves, no lying, no questioning who I cared about and especially no vampires. None of that existed where I used to live. Life was.... Better.
But it was so boring. Back in Arizona I didn't have many friends and mom was so busy with Phil that I barley saw her. And Arizona didn't have my best friend. Jacob Black. I had missed so much time with him that me ignoring him for these past two weeks seemed so childish. However, I still had every right to be mad at him for what he had done. We had promised each other that we wouldn't keep secrets from another....and yet Jake had. And a pretty big secret at that.
But it was also my sister's secret too. She had kept the truth from me too. My own sister. After the relationship that we had rebuilt she went and kept this from me. I shook my head and let out a sigh just as both of us turned our heads to the kitchen window to see a beat up red jeep pull up to my car.
Jake.
Seth glanced up from his soda and continued to stare out the window as Jake dashed out of his jeep and raced to the house. Footsteps echoed through the silence as Jake came into my view. He was patting loudly as Seth winked at me and walked out, leaving just the two of us in the small kitchen. The air felt so thick as if all the emotions could be felt throughout the entire house. Both of us contused to stare at one another. I didn't know which one of us was going to make the first move, but I knew that one of us needed to soon. Even if it was just to stop the awkward silence that lingered.

Finally getting motivation to finish this bad boy. I wrote this and the next chapter back in June, but that's okay.
I have written six more pages in the last 24 hours and that is good. Get that sweet sweet writing done when you can!
