Chapter 20

        Riley lept up into the air lunching for Edward's throat just as a ball of fur sprung from the trees and wrestled Riley to the ground. Cody grabbed Riley's shoulder in his mouth and gripped on tight a loud growl erupting from Riley's lips. Riley wipped his arm around trying to get a hold of Cody and pull him off, but Cody wasn't letting go as he then enclosed his teeth around Riley's left and tore it clean off. The cracking of his diamond like skin sent a terror down my spin as I noticed out of the corner of my eye, Victoria making a dash for it. There may have been her and Riley, but she knew that she was out matched or rather that she lying and didn't give a damn about Riley. And glancing from her red eyes that lator of the two was true.
"You will not get another chance like this, Victoria". Edward shouted after her. Victoria froze and looked back behind her at all three of us. My heart beat quickened. Something was about to explode.
"You want them. You want me to feel the pain that you felt when I killed your mate". Edward continued as he moved away from us. Bella inched her closer futher in front of me. She was desperartly trying to shield me. Protect me from what was coming.
"When I tore him limb from limb. When I turned him into ash. When I turned him into nothing". That did it. Victoria's teeth clenched she bolted straight for Edward's throat. Gripping his arms they tore each other to the ground, snow move every which way. Bella pulled me away from the scene and pushed us farther into the surrounding trees. Then Bella let go of my hand. I grabbed back hold of her and shook my head.
"Bella don't".
Bella didn't listeb to me. She took off signaling to Cody. Which was not good. With him distracted for a split second Riley picked himself up from the ground and kicked Cody into the near rock wall. With a thud Cody cried out and lay still on the ground.
"NOOO". I screamed turning Riley's attention to me. He smirked and bolted over to me. I screamed again just as the sound of a tree being knocked off came crashing down near us. Snow in Riley's eyes, Bella pulled me up and rushed us to Edward. As soon as Edward meant my gaze I knew that he just made a huge mistake. With him slightly distracted that gave Victoria the time she needed to get the upper hand. With both hands she grabbed Edward by his head and manged to put him in a choke hold as Riley jumped from behind and landed nearly on top of him.
NO NO No...Edward please get up. Get the upper hand back. You have to.
Running my fingers through my hair I couldn't breath. Edward was strong, but newborns were even stronger and the anger that filled Victoria..well that made her stronger then him. He was out matched their was nothing we could do...
Trying to grasp what was happening both her and his eyes shot up from Edward and moved to what was ever behind me. Bella stood firm with a single trail of blood streaming down her arm. Yes. Bells you had done it. With both of them distracted from the fresh scent of blood Edward could make his move.
Riley and Victoria both took off running towards my sister however, both of them not remembering that Cody was still around jumped into the action taking Riley in his jaw and dragging him off. Him screaming in the distance as I could guess Cody tearing him limb from limb. Victoria roared with anger as Edward grabbed her head between his hands and with such force ripped her head from her body. A overwhelming sense of relief must have flooded him as Edward nearly collapsed to the ground. Bella rushed over to him and stood back up and pulled out a lighter. I still over come by nerves watched as Edward burnt her body. Then he ripped the hem of Bella's flannel and wrapped the long piece around her cut.
Seconds later Cody appeared still in wolf form and found his way to my side. Nudging my face. He helped me up and I leaned my myself up against. Edward's attention then turned to me.
"Alex are you alright?"
Barley catching my breath I nodded to him. "I-I'm okay". Then without even thinking I pushed myself from Cody and pulled Ed into a hug.
"Thank you". I said as tears beagn to escape me, "Thank you keeping both of us safe". Pulling away Edward hinted at a nod, but grabbed onto to Bella.
"Somethings wrong. Alice needs us". Edward stated as he looked over at Cody. He nodded. "Get Alex home safetly, then go find Jake".
"Whats going on?"
"Alice needs us in the field". Edward said.
"Jacob..."
Edawrd shook his head. "Jacob is fine. Cody get her home. Now". I nodded as Cody stroded over to me and I hoped on his back. Though Cody was much taller then me I wasn't sure if he could carry me all the way down the mountain, but sooner rather then later I would find out.
