Graduation was a big deal and it was a bit disappointing to learn that mom and Phil couldn't make it, but with a large thunderstorm plaguing the area it wasn't something that they could control. So, I couldn't help but forgive them for missing out. I let out a sigh as Bella and I arrived to the high school early. Bella straight away raced over to Edward and his family making me groan and I rolled my eyes. What was so great about the him or any of the Cullen's for that matter id never understand?
"Your grandmother would be proud". Charlie said placing a hand on my shoulder. I smiled. I missed grandma swan each and every day. I wished so deeply that she could have been here for this day and many more.
"I'm going to find my seat".
I nodded my head and decided to join my sister with them. There wasn't much else to do and it looked like Jake wasn't here yet so this was my only option.
"Alex, you look beautiful". Alice sqealed with joy at my outfit. I clearly remembered Bella telling me that Alice was big on fashion and did not approve of my sister's wardrobe. I had to somewhat agree with her on that one. Bells was not the most stylish person around.
"Thanks. You look good too". I wasn't finding making conversations with her to be too bad, but it wasn't exactly like I liked doing it.
"Its exciting to finally be gradutating". Emmett said grinning. I rasied an eyebrow at him.
"Haven't you graduated high school before..? I mean your not exactly young anymore".
Emmett smirked and laid his elbow on my shoulder.
"Age is just a number, beautiful".
Just as I was about to open my mouth to say something to him all the Cullen's tensed up and I could see that their attention was turned the figure getting off their motorcycle. The figure removed his helment and I smiled as I walked over to my boyfriend Jacob Black sporting a fancy get up. He smiled at me and took me in his arms.
"Alex, you look gorgeous". He replied running his fingers through my hair. I blushed a slight shade of red.
"You don't look so bad yourself. Dammit Jake where did you get all these?"
Jake smiled and did a little twirl for me.
"My dad's closet".
"Seriously?"
"These were the clothes that he wore when he started dating my mom".
I couldn't believe it.
"Your dad had good taste". Jake smiled and glanced up from me and turned his gaze to the Cullen's. There was clearly some tension in the air between the two and I knew all too well what that was. And I didn't not want it to ruin this supoosed to be happy day. I let out a sigh just was Emmett took a step forward, ushereing himself to the front of the clan.
"What is he doing here?" He asked. I was not about to let a fight break out. I laid my hand on Jake's chest and put the other one up in front of me to address Emmett.
"I invited him". I stood firm. I had no reason to have to explain myself, but I didn't want to cause a scene either. Emmett turned his honey colored eyes to mine and groaned.
"Why? No one wants him here, not even your-"
"I do". I stated meeting him. "Not that it's any of your business, but Jake is my boyfriend. And I want him here. I don't care if either of you approve or not, but if I have to deal with you then you have to deal with him". I could feel all of their gazes on me and I didn't give a damn. This was my life and if I wanted Jake here then I had a right to that. I shook my head. I didn't need this today. I grabbed onto Jake's hand and pulled him towards the gym.
"She seriously dating that mutt?" Was the last thing I heard before I took my seat for the graduation line up. I really hoped that Alice's graduation party would go smootheier then this did...

During Jessica's speech I couldn't help, but notice the concerned and deep thought looked that hung to Bella's face as if she was thinking hard about something. I desperately wanted to tap her shoulder and as what was wrong, but now wasn't the time—yet as Jessica contuined on about how now was not the tine to make hard choices, but the time to make mistakes I could Bella's thinking only increased.
Something serious was going on in her head, but what?
What the hell was going on with my sister?
And why did I have this unsettling feeling slowing creeping its way up into my stomach?
Towards the end of her speech I couldn't help but glance behind me at Jake. Now was the time to mistakes she had said, and yet everything that had happened to us I wouldn't change it. Him lying to me was a mistake, me being so hard on him was a mistake, and yet our relationship was not. This was now the time to make mistakes, not hard choices, but I knew that deep down I wanted to be with Jake. Maybe even for life.

"Congratulation". Jake said as he ran up to greet me. He brought his hands to my waist and picked me up. I couldn't stop from laughing as he decided to twirl me in the air like something from a Disney movie.
"Its good to see you again". Charlie smiled as Jake turned and placed me down on the ground. He smiled and took Charlie's hand.
"You too".
"And Jake's right. Congratulations Alex. I'm proud of you". I smiled as a tear escaped me. I then pulled my dad into a hug and he hugged me back. I really did miss being here with him. I really did miss my dad.
"I should go congratulate your sister". Dad said pulling away. "Where ever she is".
I rolled my eyes and spotted my sister leaving the gym with Edward. I let out a sigh and pointed to her direction.
"She went that way". Charlie smiled, kissed the top of my forehead and quickly walked to the gym's doors to catch up with Bella.
"Hopefully she doesn't leave before he gets a chance to see her". I prayed turning my gaze back to Jake. He smiled and took me in his arms.
"Will see". Jake said as I laid my head on his chest.
"About that whole Emmett thing-"
"It's fine. Those damn bloodsuckers think they can stick their noses in anything that they want, even if it's none of their damn business". I scoffed. He was right about that.
"You have no idea".
"I'm sure they'd just love it if I showed up at their little party". Jake snickered as I removed my head from his chest. Whether they wanted him there or not I'd couldn't care less. Jake was my plus one and I was pretty sure that Bella wanted him there was well. He was her best friend after all.
"Your not thinking about ditching are you?"
Jake grinned. "No way. To see the look on their faces when I show up, it'll be worth it". He said planting a kiss on my lips.
"That's good to hear".
"What time should I pick you?" I smiled as both of us left the gym and walked out to meet Charlie at his car. He nodded to us and turned away. Gods I loved Charlie and his appreaciation to giving his daughters their space and privacy.
"I'd say at six. I still need time to get ready". Jake raised an eyebrow at my statement.
"Arent you already dressed?"
I shook my head and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Oh just you wait, Jacob Black. Just you wait"..
