We arrived at Jake's a few mintues later and he pulled the car up to the house and we both went inside. Jake had said that nobody would be around and that it would just be us here. Though that fact alone made me extremely nervous, I knew that Jake had promised to not try anything that I wasn't comfortable with so I felt relieved in a way.
Jake opened the door to his room and I couldn't stop the smile from creeping up my lips. Nothing had really changed since I had last been here, that was until I noticed two pictures framed upon his dresser. I walked over to them and noticed what the two pictures were of. Both of them were me and Jake. The first one was us both when we were around the age of six, outside playing in the woods. Both of us had big huge grins on our faces and jake's long black hair was pulled up into a man bun. A small giggle escaped me as I glanced at the second of the two photos. There we were, the day that Jake had taken me out to that little campsite of ours. The first time I really felt my feelings for him start to form. I brushed my fingers against the frame and glanced back Jake.
"You framed these?"
Jake smiled and wrapped his arms around me while studying the two photos of us together.
"They both mean a lot to me".
I smiled. "Really?"
"The one when we were kids was taken the day I realized that you were my best friend and this one". Jake said taking the photo from me of us not too long ago. He smiled at it then glanced at me. "This one...well it was taken the day that I realized that I was falling for you".
A grin formed across my lips as a few tears escaped from my eyes. Jake's posture softened as I wiped my eyes and he laid down both pictures. I had thought that day was only really special to me, but it was just as special to him as it was for me. It was the day both of us realized that we truly cared about each other.
"Believe it or not, but that was the same day that I was starting to fall for you". I told Jake. He let out a soft giggle with an added eye roll. Then he turned his eyes back to mine and grabbed me in his arms. Then he did something that caught me off guard. Arms around me he pulled me onto his bed and there we laid side by side, facing one another. My cheeks erupted into flames while Jake just stared at me and bursted out in a fit of laughter.
"haha...I guess that day is special to both of us then". I looked away from Jake and smiled. I guess it was then. I felt a warm touch on my waist as I saw that Jake's hand was now resting on my waist.
"Don't worry, Alex. I'm not going to do anything that you don't want". Jake reassured me. I nodded looking into his eyes then let out a sigh. I bit my lower lip as I contuined to look at him. Every couple had to have this conversation at one point or another and as much as I wasn't in the mood to talk about it I kind of wanted to.
"Jake about that I-"
Jake leaned in. "We can talk about this later you know".
I knew that, but "I think we should talk about it now. I-Jake I love you and right now with everything going I don't want to upset you, but-
Jake smiled and shook his head. "I'm willing to wait until you are sure about this. No matter what I'm here with you, Alex". Leaning in curled myself up closer to Jake as he wrapped his big tan arms around me.
"I love you, Jake".
"I love you, Alex. No matter what".It's short I know, but I had to break this chapter and the next one up.
