Over the night, Will had thought. A lot. He was nearing a conclusion, he knew, but he wasn't sure what that had been yet. Not to mention that a majority of that thinking was overthinking-mostly illogical.
Nico claimed he was just trying to help, but could that be trusted? What if this was a first test, what if Nico was planning on wiping his memory entirely and replacing it all with-
No. Nico was good. That's what Will could trust, could know absolutely. Nico would not do that, he wouldn't go that far. If Nico wanted to fuck with Will, he would've done so a whole ago. Nico had to have meant it when he said he was trying to help.
Trying to help or not, what had happened didn't help. He had the memories back, and he'd have to recover from that. Again. And he realized that thanks to a bit of accidental magic-he was looking for something in his bag when he instinctively created some light and seemed to flinch from it. Scared, once again, of his own magic.
So many different thoughts ran through Will's head, and then it was daylight. Will grabbed his bag and headed to the Infirmary early, cleaning and organizing before anyone showed up. And the day went on, as usual.
Nico didn't sleep either. He stayed in his cabin for a few hours after the day started, wearing a jacket of Will's. Hoping that he'd be able to make up with him.
When Nico did leave his cabin, it was just in time. Will was walking by, seeming disgruntled and covered in blood, presumably from a patient.
"Will!" Nico shouted. Will sighed as he looked over and as Nico rushed towards him.
"We can talk, can I just get clean in the process? I'm kinda..." He held up a blood-covered hand, "Covered in blood. It got around the gloves, somehow."
"Sounds good. As long as we can talk." Nico agreed.
"So? I dunno how to start this conversation, that's on you babe." Will prompted. At least the pet names weren't gone, that meant something to Nico.
