You know when you're younger and you have aspirations? So many aspirations that it's impossible to accomplish all of them. If you think about it, even meaningless small dreams you gave up on still is a possibility you gave up on. What if you wanted to score a goal in the next soccer game you played at recess? If you made it, maybe that dream would turn into: I want to get the winning goal for my soccer team, and it could go even further to I want to score a goal for a professional soccer team. But if you missed that first goal -that first dream- you technically gave up on your future as a soccer star. It's kind of sad when you think about it, we all wanted to be something else but then we settled on something that we decided that was our dream, our concrete way that will pave the rest of the road. Even so, chasing after that dream may take you up to places you may not have even thought of or an inverse of that, it takes you there and you discover you don't like it. We all know that we can't go back and make that goal, the past is set in stone and doesn't care about your regrets. However, the future is filled with opportunities, and all you need to do to get there, is give up on your dreams.
