no i don't wanna be your friend
i'm tired of always playing pretend
yet i can't help thinking bout what you said
that night when we were alone
staring at each other sprawled out on the floor
couldn't get enough of every bone
you told me i was special to you
but boy if you only knew
what it means to say that and for it to be true
i thought i saw it in your eyes
a love that never dies
all i saw were your deceiving lies
but you told me you loved me
and i thought what else could that warmth be
a peace like that of the sea
i wished you'd be of company
to me in my time of need
oh how i'd wished you'd see
i needed you
at every word i'd swoon
and you broke me all too soon
my dear how i loved you
there was never a number two
and you know it to be true
so you broke my heart in two
leaving me blue
leaving me all alone without you
