the angels promised me wings
complete and total freedom from all things
"join us" one sings
the demons promised me power
complete and total domination over things that cower
"you know you want it" one voiced from his tower
"wings, or power?" asked a booming voice
urging me to make my choice
and finally, i see the winning side rejoice
