she's all alone downstairs
on the phone in despair
she's screaming that it's not fair
how is it she must care
when her heart is left bare
all this burden begins to wear
pulling at her hair
how do they dare
to make herself tear
that she's wrong they swear
she's searching for air
while her daughters stare
to her moments like these are far from rare
and so very hard to repair
