INSIDE VINCERE'S HEAD:
Looks like its going to rain. Perfect time to finish my homework.
I open up my fridge and search for some mid night snack.
Suddenly I hear a knock on the front door.
Who would even come at this hour? I am not that stupid to open the door for anybody, I walk towards the window and looked for the intruder.
There, standing in front of my door, is Isis Silvestri with a little girl, both drenched from head to toe. The situation is hard to handle.
'Stop peeping from the window and open the damn door Montague!!! Or I will break it down' Isis whisper shouted knowing that my parents are asleep. Judging by the incredible insults I am sure it's Isis.
I open the door an inch and peak my head out. 'Why are you here at this time?!!'
'First let me in!' she shivered. My parents will definitely disown me if I let her in tonight. The first time I barely escaped.
'But my parents...'
'Look this little girl is all alone and shivering and some people are after us. Can't you provide a shelter for her?' She cut me off. The girl is indeed shivering and is in dire need of clothes and rest.
So at last humanity won and I let them in.
'Don't make any noise. Follow me' I am doing this for the little girl. Angels above I am just helping someone in need, please dont wake up my parents. I pray hard.
I open my room and let them in.
'At last some warmth. Half of my body is freezed!' Isis exclaimed while walking towards my bed.
'No no don't sit there! You are wet. Wait let me just grab the towels, go wash up first!' I freaked. Mom will kill me if I dirty the sheets.
'Alright neat freak. Give me some clothes' she rolls her eyes at me.
I pull out two t-shirts, a shorts and a pant which will come up to Isiss knees. I hand her the shirt, pant and a towel and turn towards the quiet girl looking around the room in amazement and tightly clutching Isiss hand.
I extend my hand to give her the clothes, she shyly glances towards me and looks towards Isis.
Poor girl, maybe Isis took her for some crazy adventure and got her soaked. Or maybe she is one of her victims. It would be bad if she bullies children.
Sensing her hesitation Isis took the clothes from me. She crouches to her position and places her hands in either sides of her shoulder. 'Chrissy I am going to take a shower. You stay with Vin, alright?' She consoled, more like ordered her and goes inside the bathroom.
I just leave her as she is and go down to bring some food. There must be some leftover pasta in the refrigerator.
I put it in the microwave and serve it in two plates as silently as I can so that no one would wake up.
Isis was still lying on my small bed and fidgeting with her phone.
'Here' I offer her.
'I have eaten already. Maybe Chrissy would want some' She replies without even looking at me. So ungrateful.
Chrissy comes out of the shower wearing my clothes with fresh smell of soap. 'Here have this Chrissy' I hand her the plate '...and tell me if you need more'
