'What are you guys doing?'

Isis scoots away from me in the speed of light on hearing Jake's voice.

Her eyes quickly becomes guarded and she hurriedly heads inside the house walking past Jake.

'Dude? Vin? What were you doing?!' Jake looks back towards the way Isis disappeared.

'Nothing' I reply calmly. Even I don't know what I was doing.

'Are you two dating? Vin, are you dating Isis?!'

I don't know why but I got angry at him pronouncing her name like that. Like she was some contagious disease. 

'Even if we are that's nothing got to do with you, at least I won't do what you did'
I realised the weight of my words and wanted to take them back but it was too late now.

'Yeah, you are right. I did avoid all of you....'

I was supposed to be an understanding friend and give him the time he wanted. But I just blurted out all of the frustration at him.

'Sorry...'

'No,  I am the one who should apologise. I shouldn't have just avoided you all without any explanation' he sounded like he would cry any minute now.

'Jake, it's ok. I know you had a reason to do that and I'll wait till you are ready to tell me. And I did loose my temper on you earlier so we both are even now. Let's go inside now, it's late'

He smiles at last 'You're my real bestfriend'

'Don't forget that'

'Never'

Just as Jake was heading to his room I call him again 'Jake'

He turns around 'Yea?'

'Um....Can you not tell anyone about what you saw?'

He sticks out his thumb as a sigh of approval 'That's what bestfriends are for'

Isis's Pov:

'Why do you look like a zombie?' Cass asks.

We all are now tucked in at that crappy mini van, on our way to home.

'Couldn't sleep' because I was thinnking about Vin all night. But I don't say that.

'Really? But I had the most peaceful sleep these two day. The forest air is so fresh. When Jake and I get married we'll live in a house like this, with electricity of course'

'You have thought upto marriage? Don't tell me you named the kids too!'

Her guilty look said that she did just that.
I sigh and rest my head against the window.

Jake insisted on sitting with Vin so I am struck with dreamy eyes Cass now.
Honestly I don't know if I am angry or happy that Jake interuppted us.
Is it bad that I wanted to stay with him a little more?

'I'm so excited, Levi is getting married. I'll be the one of the bridesmaids, Chrissy can be the flower girl. Who do you think will be the best man? Do you think Levi will call his bestfriend?'

I shrug not interested in talking about that. I still need some time to process it. I mean, who gets married at 21?

The best option now would be to sleep.
