I am the wrong place if you are looking for heaven, would you still love me?

-

The next morning I wake up late as usual. I come downstairs to find Chrissy munching on some bread and butter with that old teddy beside her. Am I too harsh to her?

Chrissy notices me and greets me with a bright smile 'Good morning!'

'Good morning. Where's Mrs Jane?'

'She left early after serving breakfast'

I take out my phone and see 5 missed calls from Levi, he called last night. He is so nosy but I am not gonna call him. There's only 1 hour to 10 so I ask Chrissy to get ready. She places the plate in the sink, washes her hands and goes upstairs to her room.

I make myself a sandwich and check my messages. Maybe I should hire a full time maid but I don't really like the idea of strangers in my house.

I put my plate in the sink and head to my room to get ready. Can Chrissy get ready on her own? Yeah, probably.

I go into my dressing room and stare at my clothes. What should I wear? Something scary or something mature?

At last I decide to go with mature. I put on a red collared blouse and black skinny jeans with black boots. A black scarf to make it look more mature and I decide to leave my hair open. When you go to work you must look scary but mature.

I come downstairs and find Chrissy wearing a dress which was two sizes big on her and mismatched socks. 'Are you going to leave like that?'

She looks up from her teddy and glances towards her dress.

I sigh, we are gonna be late this way 'Come on, I'll pick a dress for you'

Chrissy follows me into her room. I open her cupboard and find all of her dresses scattered inside, I need to build her a walk-in-closet.

I choose a red knee length dress which has a big black bow in the middle and black border. And cute little polished black ballerina shoes to go with it. Chrissy puts on the dress and the shoes. I brush her honey coloured hair and tie it into two pigtails just like how I used to do when I was little.

People may think that rich kids don't know how to do pigtails or cook but that doesn't apply for everyone. I have learned all the things my parents could never do for me.

The doorbell rings so we finally come down to see Vin waiting near the gate. He was wearing a blue flannel button open over a white shirt with a black leather jacket on top, strange fashion.

I collect my car keys and wallet and come out with Chrissy in my tail.

I see her still carrying that teddy with her but before I could remind her to keep it inside Vin interrupts 'Good morning Chrissy, you look lovely in that dress' He picks her up into his lap and turns towards me 'Oh didn't notice you there, good morning' I just focus on locking my door and give him the stink eye.

'Do you want me to drive?' He offers.

'What makes you think that I would allow you to drive my car? I have called my driver already, it's a long journey' I open the back door and sit inside while Vin tucks Chrissy beside me in the baby seat and sits beside her.

'Don't you need some official papers for the adoption?' Vin asks while putting on the seat belt.

'I have already informed my manager. He will reach there with the papers' I put on my sunglasses and get ready for some quality sleeping time.

But Vin had to disturb me again 'I did some research yesterday it said that you can only adopt when youre 21 with a stable finance'

Chrissy who was checking out the car till now glances at me. I take my glasses off and face him 'I will take care of it' I say it slowly and clearly so that he would get the message. I put my sunglasses back on and take out my phone leaving no room for argument.
