Lily and the guys had never left the kitchen, claiming that they were needed to help with dishes and clean up the kitchen but I knew better than that. They wanted to be the firsts to taste test anything that was made in there.

Ellie was training with the packs warriors, Scarlet was in the pack library, and Annie was visiting with Luna Stevens, I didn't want to disrupt either of them or pull that away from what they were doing so I made my way to my room to wrap my head around what had happened today.

Larry and I had an amazing day, he was kind, caring, and compassionate, I could have seen myself falling in love with him and having a future together. He would have made an excellent Alpha to my pack too.

But then I had met Marnie, the sweet little girl that quickly turned into a demonic spoiled brat as soon as no one was looking. My brain was still processing the whole encounter with her. I had seriously been considering Larry up until about fifteen minutes ago, but now?

I heard a knock on my door then saw Annie peek her head in with her eyes closed. "Are you alone?" She whispered as she tried not to snicker.

"Oh I'm definitely alone." I said sadly making her pop her eyes open and frown at me.

"What happened?" She asked as she walked into my room, she went to shut my door but a hand shot out to keep it from closing.

"Wait, we want to hear too!" Ellie pushed the door open, Lily and Scarlet following her in.

"Here Faye just made these and they are seriously to die for." Lily put a plate of chocolate cupcakes with what I hoped was cream cheese frosting in front of us.

"Is that the cook's name?" I mumbled around a mouthful of cupcake, Lily had been right, these were amazing.

"Yes, cranky little thing but man she can cook. I still swear I'm going to kidnap her." Lily said as she dug into her cupcake.

"So, tell us about today!" Scarlet looked at me excited as she grabbed her own cupcake.

I took a deep breath and relayed to them everything that happened that morning. From the hamster emergency, to the coffee date, to meeting little miss sassy pants. They all had a look of shock and bewilderment as I finished my story.

"Now I don't know what to do. I was considering him, but after meeting his daughter I'm not so sure. Do I talk to him, or-" I trailed off a little disappointed, Larry had met all of my mental qualifications that I wanted in a mate.

"Nothing. You do nothing. Chalk this one up to a loss and keep looking." Lily told me, and we all gave her a questioning look. "Look, we all know I have the biggest mouth and attitude out of all of us, that little girl would give even me a run for my money. Even if her dad did believe you, do you know how much havoc she would wreak on anyone she came into contact with? It would be an absolute nightmare!"

"I hate to say this because I was so excited about him but I think Lily is right." Annie said agreeing with her. "If his little girl is unhappy, he will be unhappy which will make you unhappy and that will make all of us unhappy." Ellie and Scarlet nodded their agreement.

"I would just tell him you don't see this working out, it's you not him, blah blah blah, the typical one liners you see in the movies when people are trying to dump someone." Lily waved her hand in the air like it would be the simplest thing to do.

"Or tell him the truth, his daughter is a little witch and there is no way you want to be her step mommy, no matter how gorgeous he is...." Ellie sighed dreamily.

"I wouldn't use those words exactly, but you will have to tell him that it won't work out. And I would do it before his little princess thinks you're taking too long and tries to make you look bad." Scarlet suggested and she was right.
