He seems so perfect, are you really sure you don't want to choose him?" Annie asked me again for I think what had to of been the fifth time. "This is our last stop, there aren't any more places to visit?"

"I'm sure, I can't take him away from here. He's also still healing from losing his mate, throwing him into being an Alpha and having a brand new mate would just be heartless." I assured her.

"But-"

"Annie, she's made her decision." Troy interrupted his mate in a quiet voice.

She sighed in defeat, "I know, I just thought- well never mind. So what's the plan now?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know, make a human boy fall madly in love with me?"

"Ha, good luck with that." Troy snorted and I threw a pillow at him. We were all in my room talking, we decided to stay here for the night before we made our way back home tomorrow morning. When Jack and I had returned we broke the news to everyone that he would not be joining us on our journey back, although I think Luna Angie already suspected it.

"It's can't be that hard. I just have to flirt a little, make him like me, then love me, then drop the bomb that I'm half wolf, he will get scared a little but decide to love me thru it, then I'll drop an even bigger bomb and tell him that he is going to be their leader; what normal human being would run away from that?" I asked rolling my eyes, I was so screwed. I only had a year to find a mate, well less than that now, we have been on the road for almost two months now visiting different packs all over the country trying to find me a mate.

"Was I too picky?" I asked both of them, maybe I had been too selective, I probably could have learned to love one of the guys that I had met, couldn't I have? Maybe I was just asking for too much, wanting the love thing right away.

"Stop. I see you doubting yourself and your decision, look, I know I questioned you about not wanting Jack but that's only because I saw the potential, you obviously didn't and that's all that matters. You are in a different position that most of us do not find ourselves in. Honestly, if it hadn't of been for the mate bond Troy and I would probably not be together."

"What?" Troy yelped and looked a little hurt by her words.

"Let me finish. If there had been no mate bond or pull towards one another, do you honestly think we would have met? You never talked to anyone, and you can't tell me that's because you are a Mer." She argued.

He sighed, "I hate admitting this but you're right. I'm a shy person naturally, I would never have approached you."

"And as a future Luna at the time I never would have approached you either, I would have looked for a wolf in our pack, and you would have looked for another Mer." She reached over and squeezed his hand. "I'm thankful, that for us, the mate bond was a good thing. Our road was rough and we still have trials ahead of us but I've never loved anyone as much as you and I know without a doubt you love me just as much."

Troy leaned over and kissed her as his response, looking down at her with a sweet smile when they pulled apart. Annie turned her attention back on me.

"You deserve this too Renee." She gestured between her and Troy. "You deserve to find this happiness and love with someone, and we will find him. Wherever he may be."

None of us said anything for a while, Annie broke the silence with a shout. "I have the best idea!"

"Giving us heart attacks?" I placed my hand over my heart to calm the pounding down.

"No but see the look on both of your faces was priceless." She giggled. "But I have an idea, when we get back I'll have to get back to queen lessons and you have to buckle down and find a mate right? Well, then let's hit every touristy spot on the way home, have a little vacation for just the two of us!"
