We took our time crossing the country back to the west coast, I don't think either of us were really in a hurry to get back to our normal lives. We stopped and went to anything that looked interesting , Times Square was our first stop and I couldn't believe how tall the buildings were and how many people were crammed into a such a small space. I loved seeing it but there was no way I would want to live in a place like that, too crowded and I think someone would see a huge wolf walking down the streets.Hershey Park and Cedar Point were two of the next places we stopped, those were Troy's request, he absolutely loved theme parks. Cedar Point being his favorite because of all the huge roller coasters, it became tricky coming up with excuses as to why Annie wasn't on the roller coasters, she still hadn't figured how she wanted to tell him about being pregnant. Thankfully he was too excited to really argue and I was up for going on every single one so he always had a riding buddy.
Mackinaw Island was Annie's favorite stop, she swears she loved it because of the old timey feel to the place but I guarantee it was the twenty fudge stops that she visited while we were there, her chicken nugget craving had changed to a craving of sweets.
Yellow Stone, well Wyoming in general was probably my favorite, I loved seeing Old Faithful, the mountains, the trees, and just being back in the woods again. It was beautiful and peaceful, I knew I would be going back there again someday. We stopped at so many other places too, any little thing that looked interesting we stopped and admired. After about three weeks of sightseeing we finally made it back home, I don't think any of us were ready to be back though. We had enjoyed being away from our responsibilities for a little bit, just being normal people for a while. All of us loved our people but it was nice to not be a future ruler for just a small amount of time.
"I'm happy to be home, yet I'm not." Annie sighed as she dragged one of her suitcases into her home. We had just arrived at their home and it was late so I was just going to stay the night here with them in my room.
"I know what you mean. Do you think we could get away with being here a few days before anyone realizes we are home?" Troy asked as he struggled with multiple suitcases. Annie was already an over packer but she had also acquired more on our journey so there was even more to carry in.
"Ha! Not a chance, I guarantee they already know we are home. The patrol saw us as soon as we pulled in, that's what you get for building your house right on the territory line." I told him, I had seen the pack's warriors as soon as we were close to our territory. Our warriors were good, they knew when someone was close and always paid attention to their surroundings.
"You werewolves are so nosey." He sighed before heading out to the truck to grab another load of suitcases.
"I was going to offer to help him but after that comment I will let him do it himself." I said plopping down on the couch. "How are you feeling?"
Annie looked out the window to make sure Troy wasn't on his way back yet before answering. "I'm so hungry, like starving! Yet I feel nauseous all the time too, thankfully I haven't thrown up yet but I feel like I'm going to."
"Have you decided how to tell him yet?" I asked.
The front door burst open before she could answer, a breathless Ellie came running in. "It's time!"
"Time for what?" Troy grunted as he came thru the door with another load of suitcases and bags.
"Right now?" I gasped.
"Yes now!" Ellie said jumping in place.
"Why are we standing here let's go!" Annie said jumping up from her chair and rushing towards Troy. "Give me the keys, it will be faster to drive together and then we won't arrive all sweaty and gross too."
