We all sat in Annie's room for almost an hour not speaking, just silently crying and mourning those we had lost. Even though we didn't know the actual outcome or the numbers we had lost we knew it was bad by the looks Henry and Troy had on their faces. My mom had fled the room eager to find news on my father, Uncle Alf had kept him hidden but knowing my dad he would have come out of hiding when the fighting had started.

Henry picked me up off his lap and set me on the chair when a knock sounded at the door, he opened the door to reveal Troy's parents. Queen Sandra's eyes were red and puffy from her own tears, and it looked as if King Steven had even shed a tear or two.

"How bad is it?" I whispered still in shock.

"It's bad although not nearly as devastating as their previous attacks have been. Henry's warning about today's attack saved many lives and your people were prepared. Thankfully with the way your pack is laid out with everyone not living in one space the rogues had to spread out making it easier for your people to attack. However, with the Mer's and fairies on their side it made it harder for them to fight. There were a few of the rogues and a Mer still alive, I threw them into your dungeon so that you could do with them as you please." King Steven informed all of us. I was thankful for the information but he hadn't told us what we wanted to know, who of our loved ones were we never going to see again. I don't think any of us wanted to be the ones to ask, I was surprised when it was Annie who spoke first.

"I need to know, are they-" She choked on the last word not being able to say it out loud. Troy rubbed her back trying to comfort her as she controlled her breathing, the heart monitor starting to beep normally again.

"I'm sorry Annie, they are gone." King Steven said solemnly.

"My brother and Oma?" She questioned with her eyes still closed.

"Your brother is gone as well, as for your Oma I'm not sure. She wasn't in the house when I searched it." He informed her and I saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes that maybe one person from her family had made it out alive. "Your father was also missing." He said to me and I felt both dread and happiness. I didn't know if he was still in hiding or if he had been captured.

"What happened when we left you?" Henry asked then put his hand up to stop the answer from coming. "I'm sorry, I first of all should have said thank you for saving us. I do not know what would have happened had you and your man not shown, you have my deepest gratitude for saving me and my mate."

"I know your people would have done the same for me." King Steven nodded towards Henry in a gesture of thanks. "As for what happened after you left, we killed the human but unfortunately the wolf escaped. When he saw that he was losing he howled and ran away with his tail between his legs."

So Lockwood was dead but Sam was still alive. Not the news I wanted to hear but at least there had been one significant kill. Without Lockwood hopefully Sam wouldn't be able to recruit any more supernatural creatures.

"Renee, your pack is gathering at The Pavilion to mourn those they've lost and regroup. They are going to need their Luna and Alpha to lean on." King Steven nodded to me and Henry, I looked up at Henry and stood. Our people needed us.

Troy offered us his truck to drive to the Pavilion and I was beyond thankful to him for it, I don't think I could have ran or even walked all the way from his parent's house. The events of the day were taking their toll on me and I could feel myself becoming tired and overwhelmed. As I looked out the window I could see that we were almost there, I took a few deep breaths trying to pull myself together. I needed to figure out what I was going to say to them, not only had we lost our leaders but also loved ones. The people didn't even know about Henry either and I worried how they would accept him at a time like this, he wasn't even a werewolf yet since I hadn't marked him.
