"Read a book and circle some words on a page. Use those words to craft a poem. Alternatively you can cut out words and phrases from magazines. "
My choice was an article by Mark Manson " Love is not enough". To select the words, I choose the square sequence (all numbers in the sequence are square numbers; 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36...) and ended up with twenty five words. I was at a loss as to what the topic and after failing to come up with any ideas, decided to write a poem expressing exactly what the article was. To make it a challenge, I decided that it should be a "shape" poem, 25 words, 25 lines, with each line having one word more than the earlier one, till the 13th line after which the word count would decrease to end with one word.
The selected words are in bold and the link to the article is given at the end.
The result is the lopsideddiamond (looks like of a kite, sort of) of free verse anyone has seen or read till date.

We
Always think
That love's enough.
But as someone wrote,
At times, something else's needed.
Love could make you feel abandoned,
Though with trust and respect, it abound,
Otherwise, love is simply a nine day wonder.
Shocking, it is, mostly, to hear this about love?
All had heard that, 'love makes the world go round'
But it's for our own good, understand that it's not enough
Of the various forms it takes; true, selfless, maniac, narcissistic, or lust
Our lives, love ruins, if we do not understand or differentiate, which type
Of love you obtain; as such, sometimes it's okay to just like,
Any bond in our life, only over time does it develop
It is sad but true, more than love, Compatibility is
The one that decides how one's love life is.
That is a lesson we generally do miss
It's a mistake that can ruin one
And problems for all do arise
Yourself need to know that
Love, wonderful and great
But sometimes, love
Alone isn't
Enough.______________________________________
