Being a twin can have its ups and downs. You have someone to talk and vent you, and have someone to hang out with when you're bored. But sometimes you're parent(s) or guardian(s) have a preference over which one they loves more, and that was exactly the case with Peter and Gavin Parker.

You see, Gavin was the angel child. Outstanding grades, a great cook, star athlete, charitable. But Peter had okay grades, couldn't follow a recipe to save his life, despised sports (besides being Spider-Man) and he wasn't very charitable. Gavin was dependent, Peter was defiant.

So when Peter met Tony, his life brightened up. Yes, Tony knew about Gavin, but didn't give him any attention. After all, the only reason Peter's twin got an internship at Stark Industries was because of the younger brother begging the billionaire. And who can say no to Peter's puppy eyes?

It was a normal Sunday afternoon at the Parker household, well... it may not seem normal to you, but it is to Peter, Gavin, May, and May's abusive and idiotic fiance, Zach. May and Zach were "getting it on" in the bedroom, Gavin was playing video games in his bedroom, and Peter was slaving away on his hands and knees, scrubbing the kitchen floors. After all, it was normal for him to do all the chores and go shopping; that's how it's been since he was a little kid.

After a little while, May exited her bedroom, hair messy and make-up smeared on her face. She walked into the kitchen, opened the fridge and grabbed a beer, popping the lid off. She brought the lip of the bottle to her lips and took a heavy swig before setting it down on the counter.

"Hurry with that cleaning, boy," she instructed. Peter looked up and nodded, blinking his brown doe eyes at his aunt. Quickly looking down again, he moved onto wiping down the oven. May left back to her bedroom and Zach exited, shirtless and only in his boxers, a lit cigarette hanging from his cracked and dry lips. His gang tattoos were on clear display as he circled around the kitchen.

"What all have you done today, Peter?" he asked, sitting down on one of the bar stools. Peter looked up to the man who would soon be his adoptive father. Setting the damp rag back in the soap bucket, he adjusted so he was facing the elder man.

"I've cleaned all bathrooms, the living room, Oliver's and my own bedrooms, all the linen closets and I'm currently working on the kitchen, sir," he said. Zach hummed.

"Are you planning on sweeping the deck?"

"Of course sir."

"So why haven't you done it? You know how much I'm out there."

"I was going to do that right after this."

"Stand up."

Reluctantly, Peter stood up as Zach grabbed a belt from his bedroom. When he came back he shoved Peter against the wall, raising the belt high above his head. The teen held in a pained whimper as the elder brought the leather belt onto his shoulder, leaving a red mark.

Hearing this commotion, Gavin crept down the stairs and poked his head around the corner. He winced when he saw his brother being beaten by their soon-to-be step dad. Yes, the teenage boy felt remorse for Peter, but he had to save himself, and if Zach liked him, then he better not ruin it.

Four hours later, Peter finished cleaning the entirety of the home, letting out a sigh of relief. Glancing at the time, a smile developed on his face.

"Five o'clock! It's time to go to Mr. Stark's!"

Quickly changing clothes into cleaner ones, Peter sped around his room, grabbing his back pack and phone. He went to Gavin room, knocking on the door.

"Gavin, it's time to leave," he informed. Hearing a grunt from the other side, Peter took that as his response and ran down the stairs, pulling on some shoes. Gavin came down not a minute later, ready to leave. The two boys said by to the adults before rushing out and sprinting to catch the subway.

After the twenty minute ride, Peter and Gavin got to the tower. Slipping on their badges, they went different ways, Gavin to the tech lab and Peter to the penthouse. (Gavin didn't know about this, thinking that Peter just went to a different section) When the elevator opened to the top floor, Peter stepped out and was bombarded in a hug from the billionaire himself.

"Hi dad!" he laughed after being set down. Tony grinned.

"What's up, kiddo?" he asked. Peter smiled and followed Tony to the couch where hot chocolate mugs were sat on the table, along side some delivery pizza.

"You know, the usual," he sighed, falling into the soft cushions. Tony grimaced, sitting down next to the teenager.

"Those old rags still giving you a hard time, huh?" Peter nodded.

"Yeah, but he makes May happy. And that's all I care about, even if she loves Gav more than me," he replied.

"Hey, Gavin might be your aunt's favorite, but you'll always be mine," the billionaire said, taking a bite of his pizza. Peter smiled, tilting his head.

"And you'll always be my favorite dad."
