Peter sat in his desk chair, spinning around as he tinkered with his web-shooters. They needed to be stronger, more durable..

A knock on his door knocked Peter from his gaze, making his ears perk up. His spideysense buzzed in the back of his mind, but the teen ignored it. After all, what could be so bad?

Turns out, a lot of things.

May stood there, eyes sunken and almost swollen shut  and chunks of her hair seemed to be ripped from her head, blood mixed with salvia dribbled off her chin as she stared manically at her nephew.

"M-May?" Peter stuttered out, an overwhelming sense of deja-vu smacking him in the face.

Peter stepped backwards, narrowly missing his aunt's razor sharp nails. The woman screamed and lunged for him, making the teen back up towards his open window, falling over the sill and landing on the fire escape.

"May, what are you doing?" he gasped as she attempted to climb through the window ultimately failing.

She didn't respond, only gargled a mangled groan and tried to reach for him once more. Tears pooled in Peter's eyes as he hoisted himself over the fire escape, standing there with shaky legs as May tried again to climb through the window.

Freaked out by his aunt's actions, Peter's hand slipped from the metal railing, making him fall backwards with a yelp. As he tumbled the fourteen stories down, he thrashed his arms, trying to grab onto a railing.

Finally, thank the gods, he was barely able to stick his hand to the second story fire escape, a gust of wind knocking the breath out of him as he hung there, scared out of his mind. Suddenly there was a groan below him, making the teenager scream and scramble onto the fire escape.

He needed to get ou- e r r o r 5 6 4// rebooting to latest checkpoint//

Freaked out by his aunt's actions, Peter's hands slipped from the metal railing, making him fall backwards with a yelp. His eyes widened as it seemed he was playing this over again, even though it seemed like he wasn't. What was happening?

Even quicker this time, Peter was able to grab onto the eleventh story fire escape, boosting himself over right away. He looked down and saw the amass of zombie-like beings moaning below him.

"Oh my gods..." Peter whispered to himself as he stared at the monsters. They were beginning to climb the fire escape, and he had to think fast.

Suddenly, he remembered the web-shooters on his wrists. "Here goes nothing," he muttered before shooting a web to the building across and swinging to it, somersaulting on the roof and getting to his feet.

"I need to get to Mr. Stark and the others," he breathed, cracking his knuckles. A realization smacked him in the face.

"Oh gods,  I hope they aren't infected..."

"He's smart, very intelligent."

"We'll need to reboot everything again before he hacks into the main frame. He's already got to the main menu before."

"But if we restart everything, he'll catch on."

"You're right. We'll wait it out but if he corrupts everything, we're pulling him out."

"Roger that, captain."
